Ben Begley is an actor/writer/comedian/host/dad with over 20 years of experience in television, film, commercials, stand-up, improv, and screenwriting. Born in Akron, Ohio, he got the acting bug early- appearing in school plays at Firestone High School before graduating with a BFA from Ohio University. He continued his training in Los Angeles, studying improv at UCB and The Groundlings. Ben has built a reputation for bringing infectious energy and versatility to every project. On screen, he's appeared in series including Hulu's upcoming MURDAUGH MURDERS, as well as FOR ALL MANKIND, 9-1-1: LONE STAR, SUPERGIRL, THE MINDY PROJECT, NCIS and NCIS: LOS ANGELES, THE MENTALIST, and HAPPY ENDINGS, as well as hosting duties on ReelzChannel's THE CHECKLIST and interstitials for ABC, MARVEL, and G4. His film work includes standout roles in THE FUNHOUSE MASSACRE-which he also co-wrote-THE HUNGOVER GAMES, REALITY QUEEN!, SOMEBODY MARRY ME, and the indie drama FOURTH GRADE.
As a writer and producer, Ben has developed a slate of horror features and pilots, with projects selected at Shriekfest, Thriller Chiller, Sin City Horror Fest, Horror Hound, and the Nightmares Film Fest. He co-founded the sketch group Dinghis Khan, performed in stand-up and sketch festivals, and built a dedicated following as co-host and writer of the long-running podcast GUILTY MOVIE PLEASURES. His work has earned multiple honors, including Best Supporting Actor at the 2021 Independent Filmmakers Showcase for FOURTH GRADE, an Honorable Mention for Best Actor at the Montreal Independent Film Festival, and a Best Actor nomination at the Garden State Film Festival.
Equal parts comedian and horror buff, Ben thrives on projects that balance humor, heart, and scares, making him a distinctive voice both in front of and behind the camera.
