G.K. Desai, the Producer,Actor,Writer was born on 10th September 1973 in Bombay, India. Appointed in March 2020 on the Jury of 67th National Film Awards 2019 by the I & B Ministry Government of India. Presently serving on The Advisory Panel of CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) popularly known as The Censor Board of India. More of his Formative Years : Did his Schooling from St. Xavier's High School, Metro, Bombay. Finished his Diploma and Bachelors Degree First Class Honors in Electronics Engineering from University of Mumbai,India.Giving up a prolific job career, he pursued his passion of Acting and Producing movies. Till date has seen 25,000 movies around the world covering every format/genre of film making invented from 1895-2020. Had shifted his base from Bombay to Los Angeles as a Hollywood Producer (The Ode, 2008) which was screened at the Beverly Hills Film Festival 2010. "The Opportunist" his debut short film production was the sole Indian entry among 1,573 entries worldwide at the 5th Con-Can Movie Festival, Tokyo, Japan. Attended as an Actor the 31st Moscow International Film Festival 2009 and Festival de Festivals, St.Petersburg 2009 in Russia for the screening of his film "Fashion".Also attended the Cairo International Film Festival in Egypt.His second 14min Short film production "Gaali" and "A Dog" the 3rd 14min short in "The Mumbai Trilogy" series is ready. His latest 4th short film production "And Gandhi Goes Missing..."was nominated for the Best Film at Cairo Children's Film Festival.It went on to win Mayor's Gold Medal for the Best Film in Vittel,France. His Web Series 'GOTE JAM" was among the first Web Series in India released online in 2016. His Debut Directorial Feature Film "ADULTS ONLY" is in the pre-production stage and will go on floors in 2021.
