Lane Napper is an American actor. He is probably best known for his portrayal as Lane Alexander, Hollywood Arts hip and zen Guidance counselor on the Nickelodeon hit show "Victorious" as well as Ernie, Sam Pucketts former Dance Teacher on the television hit "iCarly".

Lane was born in Alexandria, Va. then shortly thereafter, his father, Leonard, moved the family to Woodbridge, Va. The family consisted of Lane's Mom, Eva, his four brothers, Lander, Lennie, Carl and Kartez, and his sister, Sonjia. After graduating high school, Lane became interested in the Arts. He started dancing at Ann Boyles School of the Arts, then Terry's School of Dance. Lane couldn't afford the classes so in exchange for lessons, Lane cleaned the studios and worked at the front desk answering the phones. On weekends, Lane would travel to DC and take acting classes. Being recognized for his acting ability while dancing, Lane was encouraged to pursue his craft so he moved to NYC and started taking more Dance and Acting lessons.

After taking more classes, Lane Napper found himself as one of the lead characters in the Indie film "Lucky Stiffs" directed by Matthew Mallison. With the encouragement of Brooke Shields, Lane moved to LA. Not long after Lane found himself guest starring on popular TV series such as "Suddenly Susan", "Nikki", "Cosby", "The Drew Carey Show", and "All My Children". To make ends meet, Lane took on the position as Dialogue Coach in-between acting jobs. He was hired by companies such as Warner Bros, Disney, Touchstone and Nickelodeon. It was at Nickelodeon where mega TV creator Dan Schneider hired Lane (as a dialogue coach) to work on his shows, "All That", "Zoey 101", "Drake and Josh", and "iCarly", before offering Lane the acting position of "Lane Alexander", on his show "Victorious".
