Frances Mignano is an Actress, SInger, Dancer, Producer, and Writer.She was born on November 2nd, (omitting the year) in Brooklyn, New York. She is one of 6 siblings.The only girl,raised with 5 brothers. Born between 2 sets of twins. Her Parents ,Frank Mignano and Josephine Faraci (deceased),both of Italian,Sicilian Heritage. Her Mother Josephine Faraci who grew up in Williamsburg -Bushwick ,Brooklyn, N.Y. was also a Singer, who worked as child Seamstress in a factory, and local Pastry ,Donut shop during the Great Depression. Frances shared a close bond with her Father Frank, (Francis,Francesco) Mignano, who was a longshoreman .He grew up in Carroll Gardens, Redhook, down town Brooklyn, NY. Frank won the 5th grade Science fair , building his own radio.Sadly ,he had to leave school in the 6th grade to go work in a Chemical factory plant and also help his father with a Mozzarella business.He grew up poor on the streets ,alongside his elders,who did whatever it took to make ends meat.During the Depression life was extremely hard. People stood on line for bread , cheese and milk.He walked away from his old life and become a devoted husband and father.A great family man.She has been quoted saying "I am my "Fathers daughter..., and my Mothers child"! Frances takes pride in her children, Anthony Carmelo Brannan Jr. A gifted student,of CIG,and Frank Mignano Brannan who graduated a student of the Prestigious "Laguardia",Fiorello H. LaGuardia,High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in Manhattan. N.Y. Her idol, is Frances Ethel Gumm, Otherwise known as Judy Garland. "I was around 1 or 2 years old my Mother would put me on top of the kitchen table, while she played her favorite songs sung by Judy,I would Sing them too, that's how I learned to sing ,no vocal instructors, my parents couldn't afford it...,just me and my love, Judy Garland "!
