Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is the latest addition to the small-screen, Disney Plus streaming version of the Galaxy Far, Far Away that we all know and love. Starring Jude Law, the series, which comes from Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts, aspires to be a throwback to the kind of movies Amblin Entertainment put out in the eighties. It’s led by a young cast of kids, with it very much in the mould of The Goonies, albeit in space. So far, it’s collected far better reviews from both critics and fans than many other, more divisive Star Wars projects have in recent years (read our review here).
Recently, we were invited to take part in the Skeleton Crew press day in NYC, and our interviewer, Eric Walkuski was able to speak to two of the stars, Kyriana Kratter & Robert Timothy Smith. Kyriana Kratter plays Kb, who sports...

Let's recap Skeleton Crew episode one, "This Could Be A Real Adventure."
We open with a crawl describing how the New Republic is the governmental power in the galaxy after the fall of the Empire, but the hyperspace lanes are plagued by pirates, as we have seen in The Mandalorian.
Suddenly, a ship floats onto the screen and is impaled by boarding ramps from a pirate ship. The crew of the ship ready to defend themselves. Pirates pour onto the ship, murdering and causing mayhem. The Shistavanen, Aka Wolf Man named Brutus, clears the way for Captain Silvo.
Silvo intimidates the captain of the vessel, who is looking for the vault.

Jon Watts and Christopher Ford are reuniting for a nostalgic journey through a galaxy far, far away in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. While the latter made his writing debut with the sci-fi dramedy Robot & Frank, Watts and Ford enjoyed their rise to success by teaming with each other for the 2014 horror movie Clown, the crime thriller Cop Car and the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Spider-Man: Homecoming. As Watts became busy with the webslinging trilogy, Ford went on to write and produce the well-received coming-of-age thriller The Clovehitch Killer and rewrite the adaptation of Chaos Walking.
With Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, the duo are working in tandem as the creators and showrunners for the latest installment of the Lucasfilm franchise. The Disney+ show focuses on a group of children from a suburban Republic planet who, after discovering a derelict spaceship, venture off and become stranded in the galaxy far from home.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is a new series coming to Disney+.
The series followed four kids as they discover a crashed ship in the woods of their utopian homeworld. The children are Wim (Ravi Cabot-Conyers) a dreamer who wants adventures unlike his best friend Neel (Robert Timothy Smith) as well as the rebellious Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong) and her bestie Kb (Kyriana Kratter). When the ship takes off with them inside, they must traverse a dangerous galaxy to get back home. Thankfully they are helped by a Force user named Jod Na Nawood (Jude Law) and the ship’s grumpy first mate droid Sm-33 (Nick Forst).
The kids catch the eye of pirates including captain Brutus (Fred Tatasciore), Gunter (Jaleel White), and The Mandalorian’s Vane (Marti Matulis) who hunt them. Things aren’t peaceful back on their world either as Fern’s mom Fara (Kerry Condon) is aware that something is wrong,...

If one thing has been constant when it comes to Skeleton Crew, the series has been quite the victim of merchandise leaks. The latest is no exception, revealing a better look at one character and revealing a completely new one.
As reported by user Star Wars Meg via Twitter, part of the Bag Clip line gives fans a better look as well as the name of a character seen in the first trailer. The character is an Owl-like alien, and it's revealed this person is called "Kim." The other character is brand new. They are the same species as the blue-elephant main character, Neel. The leak has their name as "Jorka," and it's unknown at this time how the person may be related to Neel.

With The Acolyte having come and gone (not to mention getting cancelled), the stage is set for Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, the next live-action Star Wars series on Disney+. Entertainment Weekly has dropped a couple of new images from Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, which includes a look at Jaleel White (Urkel!) as a space pirate!
Jaleel White plays Gunter, the cyborg-looking character seen above. He’s flanked by Vane (Marti Matulis), who you might recognize from The Mandalorian, as well as Brutus (voiced by Fred Taatasciorce and played by Stephen Oyoung), Pax (Mike Estes), and Chaelt (Dale Soules). “Those are pirates!“ Skeleton Crew co-creator Christopher Ford confirmed to EW. “Space pirates.“

The galaxy far, far away is expanding with the Disney+ series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, a coming-of-age story about a ragtag group of kids that team up with a mysterious character played by Jude Law. Helmed by Jon Watts (Spider-Man: No Way Home), Skeleton Crew adds a new member to the supporting cast, this time an actor who played a major role in a lot of people's childhoods. Jaleel White, who famously played Steve Urkel on Family Matters, is set to join the streaming project as one of its space baddies.
Entertainment Weekly released brand-new images from the upcoming Star Wars show, revealing Jaleel White will be playing Gunter, who is part of a space pirate crew that also includes Vane (Marti Matulis), Brutus, Pax (Mike Estes), and Chaelt (Dale Soules). The image does not paint them in a positive light, as they will seemingly act as some of the show's villains.
