Was titled Junior Natural Mr. Sydney in 2005, in the sport of Natural Bodybuilding.

Worked in Sydney as a bodyguard, airport security guard, bouncer and personal trainer.

Is of Maltese descent.

First job was as a mail room clerk.

Attended the University of New South Wales (UNSW) but dropped out to pursue a career in acting.

Lived in New York for a period in 2007, to study with William H. Macy and his wife, Felicity Huffman, at David Mamet's Atlantic Theater Company.
