Novelist, essayist, playwright, and screenwriter O'Hagan is the author of 10 books. He has three times been nominated for the Booker Prize, has twice won book awards from the LA Times, won the Glenfiddich Award, and the E.M. Forster Prize from the American Academy of Arts & Letters. He has been nominated for a BAFTA. Several of O'Hagan's work have been adapted for stage and screen and he served as Executive Producer on the BBC's Mayflies.
O'Hagan is now Director of Northern Line Productions, and is developing several projects for film and television. He lives in London and Largs, Scotland
