He acted in James Goldman's play, "The Lion in Winter," at the Little Theatre on the Square in Sullivan, Illinois with Donald May, Floyd King, Helen Wagner, Kathy Taylor, and J.P. Dougherty.
He was nominated for a 1973 Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in "Suddenly Last Summer" at the Ivanhoe Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.
