Although no character details are available, the network did release photos of both Manson and Stone on set.

In today’s roundup, TNT released the trailer for the Chris Pine-starrer “I Am the Night,” directed by Patty Jenkins, and HBO set the premiere date for “Random Acts of Flyness.”

CBS is riding TV’s true-crime wave, announcing a pair of new series premiering this month. Whistleblower is set to sound off at 8 Pm Friday, July 13, and Pink Collar Crimes will be perpetrated starting at 8 Pm Saturday, July 28.

Judge Alex: Syndicated Court Show Cancelled
Long-running court show Judge Alex has been cancelled. The cancellation was confirmed by Stephen Brown, executive VP of programming and development for the Fox Television Stations.

“We would like to thank Alex Ferrer as well as executive producer Kathy Sapp and the entire staff for producing a strong daytime court program,” said Brown in a statement. “Alex’s extensive police, legal and judicial experience combined with his great sense of humor made for compelling daytime television for nearly 10 years.”

Judge Alex debuted on September 12, 2005 and features cases that are presided over by Judge Alex E. Ferrer, a former police officer, lawyer, and Florida judge.

The series is the lowest-rated of the five remaining court shows and will continue airing original episodes through August.

Divorce Court and Judge Alex: Court Shows Renewed for Two More Years
Talk shows like Bonnie Hunt and Oprah Winfrey may be going away but it looks like the court shows are here to stay. Twentieth Television has announced that Divorce Court and Judge Alex have each been renewed for two more years, taking each through the 2011-12 season.

Divorce Court has had a long history on the small screen, in three incarnations. It ran for 12 years, from 1957 until 1969, and then came back for another seven years beginning in 1985. The current incarnation has been on the air since 1999 and Judge Lynn Toler leads the on-air proceedings.

Comparatively, Judge Alex is a newcomer, having been on the air since 2005. The court cases are presided over by Alex Ferrer, a former police officer, attorney, and Florida judge.

Star Jones in Divorce Court (1999)
Twentieth Television has renewed syndication mainstays "Divorce Court" and "Judge Alex" for two more years, taking each through the 2011-12 season.

To date, each court strip is cleared in 75% of the country for the 2010-11 season, including all top 15 markets.
