Molly Gazay is a NY based award winning 3rd gen American Irish Traveler with circus ancestors born in California and traveled around the west coast, which gave her the opportunity to live in various west coast cities and Mexico. Moving ignited her storytelling abilities as she often created different worlds for her 5 younger siblings while they caravanned.
After attending San Jose State University's TV/Film program she moved to San Fransisco to act professionally with 'Tony and Tina's Wedding' while living in her car until she found a stable living space. While in SF, Molly performed regularly in theater and indie films and was heavily involved in the music scene before moving to NYC. Mollys college work was geared towards acting & writing but she's sought out an at-home science education with a fascination in Astrophysics and is an avid believer in the hope that we can gain empathy for all from understanding our past and embracing a balance of self and science.
While in NYC, Molly has trained with Stella Adler, Lesly Kahn Co. and UCB.
Molly often plays confident, edgy and smart women no matter what genre she's in. She most recently took on the role of an unhinged edgy writer haunted on Halloween night in Horror Comedy Indie Feature "Halloween Candy", distributed by Terror Films set to release in 2025. And in her latest indie political drama, Molly plays a confident campaign manager for a democratic candidate running for mayor while also struggling to break through to her conspirator brother, distributed by Red Coral Universe in 2025, produced by Jamen Meistrich. She frequently visits the stage as an actor & singer with various groups including "The Gritarer Verde" a one woman, one act dark comedy about an edgy woman who comes to terms with how far she's willing to go for a promotion, while grappling with the possibility of accidentally gifting an inappropriate gift to her boss.
Beyond her work as an actress, Molly is a prolific dark pop rock singer-songwriter with several songs in Indie TV Pilots and Films that have been seen at Dances with Films, Soho Film Festival, Chelsea Film Festival and many more. She is also a writer currently working on Sci-fi, drama and comedy based scripts and her book "Tales From The Edge of the World", a short story collection of Sci-fi, Supernatural, Post Apocalyptic and Fantasy based stories.
She's trained with Guns 4 Reel: hand gun & rifle work, archery with Gotham Archery, and is avid in her yoga practice. Accents she's trained in include New Zealand, Australian & Standard British.
In her free time, Molly is a globe trotter, dog mom to a black lab mix named Ghost and always learning about science by going to local lectures. Her passion as a performer is to help people feel less alone, and create a world where we jump to empathy first. It's her dream to be on Star Trek!
