Origins Born in Johnstone, Scotland one mile from William Wallace (Braveheart) monument. Started performing at family parties as youth. Took up guitar as a teen, sang in bands, while college student (University of California, Berkeley). At Cal created the role of kilted Malvolio (Twelfth Night, Classical Staircase Theater)
