Shelley Hennig, the actress best known for playing Malia in the MTV series “Teen Wolf,” will star in a psychological thriller in the vein of “Rosemary’s Baby” called “Bibi.”

Screenwriter Christopher Beatty is making his directorial debut on “Bibi,” and the film is being produced by Glen Trotiner and co-produced by Logan Hunter.

“Bibi” tells the story of Vivian (Hennig), who lives in a secluded mansion along with her teenage daughter, Bibi. The two are increasingly haunted by the death of Bibi’s twin sister, which occurred in the house years earlier. Ultimately, the long-held secret of what really happened is finally revealed.

“Bibi” hopes to begin production this summer in New Jersey, and casting is underway for the teenage girl to play the title character. Stephanie Holbrook is the film’s casting director.

Kyra Sedgwick and Vincent D'Onofrio will star in "Chlorine," an independent film from writer-director Jay Alaimo. "Chlorine" revolves around a family (D'Onofrio and Sedgwick) struggling to maintain their upper crust lifestyle in their wealthy New England community. Christopher Beatty, Gary Giudice and Alaimo are producing the film, which begins filming this month in New Jersey. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Matt Fiorello and Peter Tannenbaum worked on the script with Alaimo. Alaimo co-wrote and directed "Slingshot," starring Julianna Margulies. He had tried to get "Chlorine" off the ground a few years ago with a cast that included Ray Liotta and Demi Moore, but scheduling problems forced the film to be postponed.

Producer Ed Bass is making his directorial debut with "Belle," the story of Belle Gunness, America's most prolific female serial killer, which is being produced and financed by First Line Media.

Working mainly from her farm base in La Porte County, Ind., around the turn of the 20th century, Gunness left a trail of buried bodies as she allegedly killed two husbands and dozens of suitors to whom she wrote love letters and who arrived at her farm with fat wallets. Several of her stepchildren mysteriously disappeared as well.

Bass co-wrote the script with Eva Mayer, whose family purchased the farmland and discovered some of the love letters.

"It's classic theme: a woman looking for love and never quite finding it," Bass said. "And when she finally does find love, it eludes her."
