Actor, director, producer, and writer Adam Saunders' newest film, "Re-Election," which he directed, produced, wrote, and starred in opposite television legend Tony Danza, was recently acquired by Picturehouse and will be released theatrically in 2025. Previously, he directed, produced, wrote, and starred in "Dotty & Soul" opposite Emmy and Tony award winning actress Leslie Uggams. Both films were produced by Footprint Features, which Saunders co-founded. With Footprint, he has served as the lead producer of "Darby and the Dead" for 20th Century Studios, "When We First Met" for Netflix; "Shimmer Lake" for Netflix; "About Alex" for Sony, and "Family Weekend" for Paramount.
As a filmmaker, Saunders is focused on telling character driven stories for mainstream audiences that provoke conversations around social issues. He holds a BA in Drama from Duke University and an MFA in Acting from the Yale School of Drama.
