Chaka Khan says she wouldn’t be alive right now without Joni Mitchell.

The Queen of Funk, whose real name is Yvette Marie Stevens, graced the cover of Hits Magazine‘s 2023 Black History Month issue. For the cover story, she opened up about all the artists and influences who helped her along her journey. She had a lot of gratitude for Joni Mitchell, in particular, who she credited with “saving” her life.

“Girl, let me tell you—she has saved my life on more than one occasion. I get it when somebody says the artist becomes this soundtrack to somebody else’s life because she definitely was the one to mine,” Khan began.

Peaches Geldof
Peaches Geldof appears to have found her calling - Bob's wild child daughter has signed up for a sequel just days after agreeing to star in a her debut movie.

The 20 year old announced last week that she was preparing to take on the big screen with a part in horror movie Cross Country, following short-lived ventures into modelling, journalism and TV presenting.

But Geldof has apparently hit her stride as an actress - studio bosses are now begging her to star in another movie, Woodland Cross, before she has even stepped foot on her first film set.

Tim Fielding of Flexstone Pictures says, "We were impressed with Peaches' show reel and met up with her. We signed her up to be the female lead Kate in Cross Country. She loved the script. It's a horror film, but more of a psychological thriller than blood and violence.

"After we chatted it seemed like a natural progression to see if she wanted to star in the second movie we are working on."...
