As a result, many movie enthusiasts still prefer to see them in theaters, creating an ongoing demand for more projects. If you're wondering what to watch the following month with so many new releases, we've got you covered. Below is a list of all the films that will be available in theaters in April 2025, with some highlighted based on their significance.

Euphoria star Colman Domingo's new Netflix conspiracy series has become a global hit. Following his breakout on Broadway, the actor transitioned to television with early roles in various incarnations of Law & Order, though his big television breakout came as Victor Strand in AMC's Fear the Walking Dead. However, it was Domingo's role in Euphoria as Rue's sponsor and a recovering drug addict, Ali, that earned him an Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series.
Though he's perhaps better known for his roles on television, Domingo has appeared in many movies, such as Lincoln, Selma, If Beale Street Could Talk, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, Zola, The Color Purple, and Sing Sing. However, after his Emmy win, it was his performance as the titular civil rights activist in the Netflix film Rustin that earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. [This story contains major spoilers from the finale of The Madness.]
This has been Colman Domingo’s year. The Euphoria star received a best actor Oscar nomination — his first-ever — for his portrayal of civil rights hero Bayard Rustin in Rustin, produced by Barack and Michelle Obama. He’s tracking to land another best actor nod for his acclaimed drama Sing Sing, based on a real-life prison theater program; and his eight-episode conspiracy thriller series The Madness, his first as a leading man, dropped Thanksgiving Day on his 55th birthday.
In The Madness, Domingo plays the charming Muncie Daniels, a CNN pundit and Philadelphia native who stumbles upon a murder and is blamed for it. On the wild ride to clear his name — of killing a white supremacist, at that — Muncie must first rein in his ego and make personal amends with his estranged wife Elena (Marsha Stephanie Blake), teenage son Demetrius (Thaddeus J. Mixson) and daughter Kallie (Gabrielle Graham...

Plot: Muncie Daniels is a respected media pundit who thinks he has it all. When he’s framed for the murder of a white supremacist, he must clear his name, protect his family, and unravel a high-level conspiracy before time runs out.

“The Madness” follows Muncie Daniels, a CNN political analyst seeking isolation in a Poconos cabin while writing a book, whose life takes a tragic turn when he finds a horrible murder. The victim is a well-known white supremacist leader, and Muncie is swiftly accused of murder, shifting from a renowned media star into a desperate fugitive attempting to clear his reputation.
Muncie discovers a mutilated body while on a solitary retreat during a power outage. The victim is a member of The Forge. This far-right organization puts Muncie in an extremely difficult position as a Black man suspected of murdering a white supremacist. Local law enforcement instantly accuses him, relying on racial dynamics and systemic biases to establish a fairly solid case.

A project like “The Madness” ought to be a feather in the cap of someone like Colman Domingo. Though the performer has been working steadily for decades, a few years’ worth of increasingly prominent roles — in “Euphoria,” “Zola” and “If Beale Street Could Talk,” among others — has culminated in milestone moments like an Oscar nomination (for “Rustin”), a potential second on the way (for “Sing Sing”) and a spot on the cover of this very magazine. And because limited series are now part of the routine for A-list actors, the eight-part Netflix thriller should help cement Domingo’s status as he once again hits the awards trail.
There’s just one problem: while Domingo acquits himself just fine as an increasingly frenzied man on the lam, “The Madness” itself is a schlocky mess, its pulpy appeal dimmed by a drawn-out runtime and attempts at social commentary that fail to find their mark.

Like the paranoid notions that drive their protagonists, conspiracy thrillers are constantly shifting. The genre is remarkably malleable; the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s produced some of the form’s best — “The Manchurian Candidate,” “Three Days of the Condor,” “Blow Out” — each of which iterated on the hallmarks of the form. A good political thriller is often decidedly of the moment, with enough meat on its bones to become timeless as it ages, and there’s certainly no shortage of material to draw on, given our current political climate.
The arrival of Netflix’s “The Madness” couldn’t be more timely if it tried. Anchored by Colman Domingo, the 8-episode limited series created by Stephen Belber and co-showrun with VJ Boyd kicks off its premise in pretty short order: When media pundit Muncie Daniels (Domingo) becomes the prime suspect in the murder case of a notable white supremacist in the Poconos woods,...

The Madness starring Colman Domingo is now streaming on Netflix! I watched all eight episodes of the Netflix original miniseries, and it's confusing! There are a lot of misdirections in this one, so I shared how exactly all the main storylines conclude in the season finale, "No More Madness."
The series from Stephen Belber begins when Muncie Daniels, played by Domingo, takes a break from his stressful life in Philadelphia as a TV host to write his book in the Poconos. There, Muncie witnesses a murder. Then, his life quickly begins to unravel as someone tries to pin the murder on him.
That's where things begin, but they do not stay there. It's quite the ride as Muncie tries to prove his innocence and get to the bottom of the mystery. Doing so, requires Muncie to find Mark Simon's killer and then convince the authorities to do something about it.

Netflix’s eight-episode miniseries The Madness, created by playwright Stephen Belber, begins with Muncie Daniels (Colman Domingo) escaping the hustle and bustle of life as a high-profile media pundit to spend some time out in the Poconos. His plans for a relaxing getaway quickly evaporate when the man staying in the cabin next door turns up dead. Muncie becomes the prime suspect in a murder investigation, and he quickly finds himself on the run, desperately trying to figure out why he’s being framed, and by whom.
The Madness is at its most enjoyable when it’s in full Fugitive mode, with its protagonist trying to unravel a complex criminal conspiracy. The situation gets even more complicated when the dead man is revealed to be a member of a neo-Nazi group with connections to some seriously powerful people. From that point on, every white face becomes a potential threat to Muncie.

As Emmy Award winner Colman Domingo heads toward his second consecutive Best Actor Oscar nomination, the “Sing Sing” star will likely dominate the holiday season Netflix charts with “The Madness.” The drama series with a juicy premise debuted its first teaser on Monday, one month before its streaming debut.
Domingo, an Oscar nominee this year for Netflix’s “Rustin” and an expected contender in 2025 for the A24 prison drama, stars as Mncie Daniels on the series “a political consultant-turned-tv pundit who may have lost his way in life.”

Quick Links What Happened in the Snowpiercer Finale? What a Potential Spin-Off Could Look Like
All aboard. Snowpiercer has wrapped its four-season run by pulling into its final destination. When TNT unceremoniously dropped the series after Season 4 was filmed, AMC came in to ensure the series and the fans would receive the proper send-off. The ending brought things full circle, with the passengers once again fighting to take back their train. It brought a sense of closure for our main characters, with almost everyone getting their happy ending. But not every loose end was tied up, and there's a chance we could see more of this frozen world someday.
While the creators admitted that this was the end of the story for now, they didn't entirely close the book on a future sequel/spin-off. While that's welcome news for fans, there are other angles that the online community would like to explore.

As a bit of encouragement, Andre reminds his fellow fighters, “We didn’t work this hard just to get on board. We need to keep moving forward.” However, he also admits to being more afraid now than ever. “Andre Layton scared? I don’t believe that for a minute,...

As the end of the line draws ever nearer, things are getting more and more intense for the survivors on Snowpiercer … to the point that Layton (Daveed Diggs) is ready to abandon his new colony to eternal winter to save his daughter. Luckily, we now have a very reformed Ruth (Alison Wright) to stand up to him and for New Eden. In this exclusive sneak peek at Sunday’s (August 4) new episode, Layton rushes the train’s engine room and demands that Alex (Rowan Blanchard) get her into motion to catch up with Snowpiercer, in hopes of rescuing Liana from her kidnappers. As insistent as he is, and as much as Alex looks frightened by his vociferous demands, though, she insists it’s not a practical possibility; it’d take some serious time to get the engine running again after being dormant for so long and serving as the grid’s power source.

Snowpiercer, the apocalyptic sci-fi drama, is nearing the end of its journey as the fourth and final season is set to air on AMC+ beginning July 21. It's an ending that fans of the show were almost denied, as the series was canceled by TNT after the fourth season had already finished filming. AMC picked up the season, and showrunner Paul Zbyszewski has now spoken with Screen Rant about bringing a satisfying end to the series, which stars Daveed Diggs and Jennifer Connelly and is based on the 2013 Bong Joon-Ho film of the same name.
Zbyszewski had a big task going into Snowpiercer season 4, taking over as the showrunner for the final season and crafting an ending that satisfies fans. He said the vewers' expectations are considered, but ultimately the writers must serve the character first. Check out what he had to say below:
"For us, it was really in the writers' room.

The following contains light spoilers from Snowpiercer Season 4, Episode 1, "Snakes in the Garden," which premieres Sunday, July 21 on AMC.
When TNT surprised audiences by canceling Snowpiercer even though Season 4 was already completed, AMC swooped in to give the post-apocalyptic drama one final ride. The stakes were incredibly high -- not only would it be the last season, not only was the AMC brand on a whole other level, but audiences would have to wait a little bit longer to see how it all ended. More than two years after the Season 3 finale, it's finally time for Snowpiercer Season 4 to launch.
The Season 4 premiere, entitled "Snakes in the Garden," is slightly bogged down by all of that behind-the-scenes action. It takes a fair amount of time to re-establish the world and the massive cast of Snowpiercer, and as such, viewers have to wait for the real tension to ramp up. But when it happens,...

The choice to readapt Bong Joon Ho’s popular sci-fi dystopian was always a heavy burden. Yet Snowpiercer, which jumps to AMC and AMC+ in its final season, proved a unique adventure. Expanding the world far beyond the scope of the train, the series approaches its final season with patience. However, due to fracturing storylines, some of the most popular characters are pushed to the side. For some, the direction of the final season will be difficult to enjoy. Still, with a new group of antagonists and plenty of emotional farewells, Snowpiercer concludes.

The Daveed Diggs-led show was initially canceled by TNT as part of Warner Bros. Discoverys cost-cutting measures last year. However, AMC Networks ultimately picked up Snowpiercer, and gave the series a chance to premiere its fourth and final season.
The video teases the arrival of unknown enemies from the outside world, as the residents of New Eden must face the challenges of their new reality. Snowpiercer Season 4 is expected to make its debut on Sunday, July 21 on AMC and AMC+. Written by Paul Zbyszewski, the first episode is set to be titled "Snakes in the Garden." Season 3 concludes with the discovery that the outside world has now become warm and habitable after over seven years, since the Earth has turned into a frozen wasteland.
