The original show ran five seasons from 1984-1990, and starred Don Johnson and Phillip Michael Thomas in the starring roles.
The move is no surprise with how reboot-ready Hollywood has been in recent years, bringing back nostalgia TV series', such as Full House, and Will and Grace, which was recently announced to be returning to NBC.
