Legendary movie tough guy Scott Glenn takes center stage at the 32nd Oldenburg Film Festival, which opens Sept. 10 with the world premiere of Hank Bedford’s Eugene the Marine, starring the 86-year-old character actor in a rare leading role.

The 16mm-shot, retro-tinged thriller sees Glenn playing a former Marine whose life begins to unravel when his son tries to force him from his longtime family home while a string of murders terrorizes his community. Joining Glenn in the cast are Jim Gaffigan, Annette O’Toole, Shioli Kutsuna and Jeremy Bobb.

Updated: Apple TV+ has unveiled the first trailer for Government Cheese, its upcoming comedy series starring and executive produced by David Oyelowo.

Oyelowo’s Hampton Chambers has a plan “that’s going to make our family the toast of Chatsworth,” he asserts as the trailer begins. Fresh out of prison, Hampton is attempting a do-over as an inventor, with “a drill’ that “self-sharpens as it works.” Vowing not to do “smash and grabs anymore” Hampton says he’s “on the righteous path.”

The 10-episode series premieres globally on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, April 16 with the first four episodes, followed by one episode weekly every Wednesday through May 28.

The previously announced limited series now has a working title — Unspeakable: The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey — and stars Melissa McCarthy and Clive Owen as Patsy and John Bennett Ramsey, the parents of 6-year-old JonBenét Ramsey who was murdered in 1996. Patsy Ramsey died in 2006 after twice battling ovarian cancer.

The upcoming Apple TV+ series “Government Cheese” has filled out its main cast with four new additions, Variety has learned exclusively.

Jahi Winston, Evan Alexander Ellison, Jeremy Bobb, and Louis Cancelmi have all joined the show. They will appear alongside previously announced series lead David Oyelowo as well as cast members Simone Missick, Bokeem Woodbine, Sunita Mani, and Adam Beach.

Based on the short film of the same name by Paul Hunter, “Government Cheese” follows Hampton Chambers (Oyelowo), described as “a man recently released from prison who struggles to keep his criminal past at bay and win back his family, all while processing moments of divine intervention that seem to happen with increasing frequency.”

Winston is repped by WME and Jackoway Austen Tyerman. Ellison is repped by Amplified for management and talent agency Pacific Artists Management. Bobb is repped by Gersh, and Suskin/Karshan Management. Cancelmi is repped by Gersh and Red Letter Entertainment.
