‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ recap: ‘The Villains Roast’ brings out Season 17’s inner saboteurs and supervillains
Image
Last week in Episode 9 of RuPaul's Drag Race, Lydia B Kollins planted a "deadly" kiss on Kori King in an unforgettable and steamy Lip Sync for Your Life that split the lovebirds apart. In the same Betsey Johnson-inspired design challenge that Kori couldn't conquer, Jewels Sparkles finally got a maxi challenge win, putting her one step closer to the frontrunners Onya Nurve, Sam Star, and Suzie Toot with two wins each.

This week, the remaining competitors pull out all the stops and comedic punches when Kandy Muse, Plane Jane, and Mistress Isabelle Brooks guest as the honorees in the first ever "Villains Roast." Will one of the frontrunners add another win to their count or is it time for one of the winless queens to become the new hero? RuPaul Charles, Michelle Visage, Ts Madison, and special guest Whitney Cummings are on the dais to be the judges of that.

‘House of Villains’: Kandy Muse Explains Why She Would’ve Won if Wes Bergmann Hadn’t Pulled That Trick Immunity Card
Image
If there was one cast member on House of Villains Season 2 who did not follow the crowd on any elimination votes, it was definitely Kandy Muse. The RuPaul’s Drag Race alum stood her ground from the first moment she walked into the house, even if it meant being foisted onto the very first hit list. After seeing her allies being systematically targeted for elimination by Wes Bergmann, though, it seemed like she would seize the opportunity to send him home as soon as she got one. However, Kandy hesitated to throw The Challenge champion onto the hit list when she was the supervillain of the week — after being successfully convinced that Wes had a secret immunity card that would save him anyway — and she paid for that decision on Thursday’s (December 12) new episode. After being put onto the hit list by Jessie Godderz, Kandy Muse was eliminated instead of...

House of Villains Season 2 Review: Deception at the Castle
Image
House of Villains brings a fresh twist to the classic reality competition format. Rather than friendly folk hoping for love or eager talent seeking fame, this series assembles television’s most notorious characters under one roof.

Surviving schemers from shows past, their reputations range from clever cutthroats to full-fledged fiends. Now locked together once more, what chaos will ensue as both new alliances and old rivalries take shape?

Leading the notorious crew is Tiffany “New York” Pollard, a reality TV legend now returning for her second stint. Joining her are fierce foes like Richard Hatch, the original Survivor victor, and Teresa Giudice of Real Housewives notoriety. But others also aim to earn the season’s ultimate prize—one will be crowned supreme villain. Hosted as always by the sharp-tongued Joel McHale, this season is primed to bring both the drama and deception fans have come to love from the series.

10 Best Rose Episodes in Two and a Half Men
Image
Portrayed by Melanie Lynskey, Rose is Charlie's neighbor and stalker in Two and a Half Men. While she's a side character, she appears as a running joke and a staple in all twelve seasons of the show. In fact, Rose's odd yet fascinating character development is not only crucial for all the strange twists in the sitcom but also has turned her into one of the most iconic characters of modern television.

Rose appears in only 63 episodes out of the 262 episodes of Two and a Half Men, but that didn't stop her from becoming almost as relevant as Charlie and Alan. This character controlled her own narrative at all times, maintained her irredeemability, and perfectly managed a delicate balance between dark and wholesome humor. Because of this, Rose's episodes are some of the best in Two and a Half Men.

Don’t think any batsman in the world other than Kohli could do that to our bowlers: Shadab Khan
Image
Kandy, Aug 31 (Ians) Recalling Virat Kohli’s whirlwind 82 not out against Pakistan in the Men’s T20 World Cup match at Melbourne last year, Pakistan leg-spinner Shadab Khan said he doesn’t think any batsman in the world other than the talismanic right-handed batter could do what he did to his team’s bowlers.

Kohli slammed an unbeaten 82 off just 52 balls to power India to an incredible four-wicket victory over Pakistan in a thrilling Super 12 match in front of 90,293 fans at a sell-out Melbourne Cricket Ground, sharing a match-winning stand of 113 off 77 deliveries with Hardik Pandya to lift India from 31/4 to chasing 160 on the last ball.

'RuPaul's Drag Race' Is in Its 'Everyone Wins' Era
Image
The news that World of Wonder will produce two new RuPaul's Drag Race spin-offs starring Jimbo and Kandy Muse has given the recently concluded All Stars Season 8 even more of a feel-good ending. While Jimbo may have taken the $200,000 cash prize as the season's winner, this tandem announcement of shows for both Jimbo and runner-up Kandy, just three days after All Stars ended, feels like a hasty make-up prize to placate Kandy, her fans, or some combination thereof. And even if that wasn't the expressed intention, it fits with an overall trend in Drag Race in recent years to make sure everyone wins, in one way or another.

That love was clear in Kandy’s original season (Season 13) as well, when Ru sent Kandy packing and then changed her mind seconds before Kandy took her final step off the runway. Kandy tells TV Insider she didn’t expect a last-minute plot twist from Ru like that in All Stars. But she was aware all ...

Who Should Win ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars’ Season 8? (Poll)
Image
[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 8 Episode 10.] After weeks of fierce competition, RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 8 has narrowed it down to two drag queens. Jimbo and Kandy Muse will face off for the crown in the All Stars Season 8 finale on Paramount+. But who should win? Host RuPaul has been springing format changes on the cast and audience all season long. Thanks to that, Season 8 marks the first-ever final two as opposed to the typical final three or four. The Friday, July 7 episode ended with Kandy Muse as the Maxi Challenge winner but the loser of her lip-sync assassin performance against guest star Priyanka. ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Untucked’ season 5 episode 10 recap: ‘The Letter ‘L”
Image
“RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” season 8 continued on July 7 with the tenth episode streaming on Paramount+. Airing concurrently with the main show is its Werk Room-focused sister series “Untucked,” now in its 5th season for the “All Stars” franchise. This season, the eliminated queens have the opportunity to compete in the “Fame Games,” an online and social media component to the competition where fans will vote for a queen to win the $50,000 cash prize up for grabs.

In episode 10 of “Untucked,” the three remaining queens reflected on the latest challenge and discussed the final elimination. That decision would be in the hands of the week’s top performer, Kandy Muse, no matter the outcome of her battle against the lip sync against the secret assassin Priyanka. Vulnerable to elimination in this final round were Jessica Wild and Jimbo because at this stage of the competition, if you’re not in the top,...

Drag Race All Stars 8 Makes Herstoric Reveal Ahead of Season Finale
Image
And then there were… two?! That’s right, squirrelfriends. For the first time in Drag Race herstory, we’re down to just a pair of queens ahead of the All Stars 8 finale, as opposed to the usual three or four. And we know you have opinions about which two contestants remain.

But first, some context: Friday’s episode challenged Jessica Wild, Jimbo and Kandy Muse to make over a trio of lesbians, for which Kandy was named the top All Star of the week. Though Kandy lost her lip sync to this week’s assassin, Canada’s Drag Race Season 1 winner Priyanka,...

Drag Race All Stars Sneak Peek: With Only Three Queens Left, Who Will Snatch the Crown? (Exclusive)
Image
Friday’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 8 begins with Kandy Muse asking Jimbo the question on everyone’s mind: “Why did you pick Alexis?” (Not that we’re mad she did it.)

“Did I?” Jimbo asks coyly in TVLine’s sneak peek of Episode 10. She then concedes: “I felt like I had to stick to track record and the judges’ critiques. If the situation reverses, which it still might, I want you guys to remember that. … Will you guys remember that?”

‘The Pit Stop’ for ‘Drag Race All Stars 8’ episode 9: Bianca and Manila Luzon recap ‘Carson Kressley, This Is Your Gay Life’
Image
Each week on “The Pit Stop,” Bianca Del Rio recaps the latest episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” season 8 alongside a guest host. Following Friday’s ninth episode, former “All Stars” competitor, one-time host of “Pit Stop,” and season 3 runner-up Manila Luzon stops by to give Bianca her takes on the roast of Carson Kressley. Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.

In their recap of the episode, Manila and Bianca gave Alexis Michelle a hard time about her decision to eliminate Lala Ri last week; Manila’s point being that if Alexis truly had a crush on her then she should have saved her just as a way of flirting! Bianca thought Alexis built a tactic that isn’t very strategic and suggested that perhaps Kandy Muse has a stronger hold over Alexis than we were aware of. Manila considered whether...

Drag Race All Stars’ Top 3 Revealed — Was Justice Served?
Image
And then there were three. With only a few weeks until a winner is crowned, Friday’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 8 treated viewers to a feast of insult comedy, high-art clownery and, most importantly, loose slices of bologna.

Fresh off Lala Ri’s unjust elimination, for which Alexis Michelle is still apologizing on social media, the queens were tasked with roasting the one and only Carson Kressley. Outlooks were mixed. Kandy Muse faced the challenge with arrogance, sorry confidence, having already won a roast, while Jessica Wild was dreading the idea of hurting anyone. And then there was Jimbo,...

‘Ru Paul’s Drag Race All-Stars 8×07’ Review
Image
Acting challenges on Ru Paul’s Drag Race have a very storied her-story on the show. while there have been some amazing performances on the show there have also have had some truly terrible ones such as the Lady McBitch challenge during season seven! However, I have to say that last week’s improvised whodunnit ‘forensic queens’ was one of my all-time favourites. Following in the footsteps of the Netflix original series Murderville or the highly successful Jury Duty show, the queens of All-Stars eight had to improvise their way through a series of scenes. In a shocking surprise, the two highlights of this challenge were Lala (who claimed her first win of the season this episode) and Jessica Wilde, who both delivered hilarious portrayals of the crooked security guard and snubbed All-Star queen respectively. Before we could even get to the challenge however there were buckets full of drama...

It was a hard decision for Lala Ri to send her friend Kahanna Montrese home last week, but that it came on the heels of her first ever challenge win on “Drag Race” helped pad the hurt.

The girls are girling this season.

Just two weeks after Heidi N. Closet dramatically quit RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 8, another queen threatened to follow in her footsteps during an episode in which nearly half of the remaining contestants broke down in tears at one point or another. It was, in a word, dramatíque.

‘The Pit Stop’ for ‘Drag Race All Stars 8’ episode 6: Bianca and Peppermint recap ‘Joan: The Unauthorized Rusical’
Image
Each week on “The Pit Stop,” Bianca Del Rio recaps the latest episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” season 8 alongside a guest host. Following Friday’s sixth episode, Bianca’s fellow New York City legend and friend of nearly 20 years Peppermint shares her thoughts about “Joan: The Unauthorized Rusical.” Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.

In their recap of the episode, Peppermint said that she actually likes when alliances form in all star seasons, but Bianca took issue with Kandy Muse changing up the rules of going by track record when she made her elimination decision this week. They also discussed that Jimbo is the clear front runner after getting her third challenge win and that Kahanna Montrese is on thin ice based on track record alone. Peppermint thinks that at the start of the competition the queens should go by...

‘Ru Paul’s Drag Race All-Stars 8×05’ Review
Image
In last week’s episode of Ru Paul’s Drag Race All-Stars season eight we saw Lala Ri and Heidi N Closet really shine as the bumbling duo of inexperience criminals and Jimbo claim the win after performing as an unhindered character dragged into a murderous rampage after being bullied by some popular girls in school! Jimbo keeps up her streak of losing every single lip-sync she had ever competed in on the show as we see the return of Shannel all the way from season one! I do have to say that the performance itself was fairly repetitive with the returning assassin twirling and Jimbo head-banging throughout! We sadly had to say farewell to Darienne Lake after Alexis Michelle essentially blamed the whole team’s shortcomings on her as the dead celebrity island was initially Darienne’s idea. I thought that while the idea was hers initially there was plenty...

‘Ru Paul’s Drag Race All-Stars 8×04’ Review
Image
There are many challenges that without a doubt occur at some point in any season of Drag Race. Whether that be a songwriting challenge, the snatch game or (most importantly for the most recent episode) a design challenge where the queens have to create unique outfits in the werk-room. One of the biggest storylines going into this season was that infamous bag dress created by Lala Ri in her original season and how she would cope with a design challenge when she was invited back for All-Stars eight. She showcased incredible growth with her handmade outfit this time but the best dresses award was reserved for Jessica Wilde who also won the preceding lip-sync to gain a $30,000 cash tip in the process! My favourite outfit from this episode would have to be Jessica’s diary queen outfit which was a gorgeous white gown with cascading fruit loops scattered around the dress!

Heidi N Closet Explains Why She Quit ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars’ Season 8
Image
Heidi N Closet shocked fans when she quit RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 8. Her departure came in Episode 5 as the queens prepared for the post-Snatch Game of Love runway. Heidi tells TV Insider that while it was a split decision, it’s not one she regrets. Here, she breaks down her decision to leave the competition early. It’s not very often that someone elects to leave Drag Race. You left in the heat of the moment during a Werk Room fight. Can you explain what you were feeling in that moment? Heidi N Closet: In that moment of time, I was hurt with what was happening between me and Kahanna. And then when Kandy had jumped in, which I feel like was very opportunistic, it took me aback and I felt like I was caught off guard. If anything I was kind of hurt, because I saw...

‘The Pit Stop’ for ‘Drag Race All Stars 8’ episode 5: Bianca and Kornbread Jeté recap ‘Snatch Game of Love’
Image
Each week on “The Pit Stop,” Bianca Del Rio recaps the latest episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” season 8 alongside a guest host. Following Friday’s fifth episode, season 14 Miss Congeniality Kornbread Jeté makes her series debut to give us their thoughts on a “messy” episode of “Snatch Game of Love.” Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.

In their recap, Kornbread thought that queens who won their original “Snatch Game” competitions had the bigger task to live up to the expectation and queens who hadn’t competed in it before, like Lala Ri, were in a better position to perform well. Kornbread never got to do “Snatch Game” herself and told Bianca that she had planned to perform as Leslie Jordan or the Tiger King. On this cast, Kornbread was excited to see Jimbo do Shirley Temple, but agreed that Kahanna Montrese...
