Biography

    • Frederic Eger, an independent journalist, director, and producer, has a diverse career spanning nearly three decades. Born in Paris, France, since 1998, Eger has been active as a journalist for publications such as "The Epoch Times", "The Baltic Times", and "The Times of Israel," writing about world, entertainment, science, tech, and space news. Frederic Eger founded Human Rights Multimedia in 1998, producing and hosting a live news talk show titled "Straight like an I" addressing global human rights issues. He later launched "Human Rights Everyday" for a news satellite channel in 1999. In 2001, Eger Films was established to create narrative dramas and comedies for television and cinema, as well as on-demand B2B and B2G films for companies and governments, news reports for news broadcasters, and commercials for brands. In 2002, Frederic Eger was selected to join the UCLA Professional Program in Producing, enhancing his skills in broadcast journalism with narrative drama production and distribution. In 2014, Eger Films became Eger Shows, embracing both television and theatrical markets. In 2017, Frederic Eger created Interplanetary Television (interplanetary.tv), a Free Ad-supported Streaming Television (FAST) offering digital free-to-access linear 24/7 television programming of news, educational and entertainment content about science, tech and space. In September 2022, Interplanetary Television (iTV) complemented the FAST services by a Subscription Video-on-Demand (SVOD) service for subscribers to be able to choose whatever and whenever subscribers want to watch, thus becoming a hybrid platform offering both, a free live digital television with programs selected by iTV's programming executives, and, a video-on-demand service by which subscribers can select themselves the talk-shows, documentaries or fictions of their interests and liking. Interplanetary Television aims to make complex scientific concepts accessible and engaging for viewers across diverse demographics worldwide. iTV's flagship series, "Interplanetary Quest", blends entertainment with educational content, fostering a greater understanding of space exploration and inspiring future generations to engage with science and technology. "Space Heroes," explores the intersection of space technology, space exploration, space colonization and the individuals whose achievements represent historical milestones for Humanity. "Tech for Humanity" explores the importance of technology in addressing societal issues and promoting responsible tech development. His media production work is also noteworthy. Frederic Eger is also involved in political advocacy for manifesting science-fiction into reality and making Humanity a space faring civilization, expanding to the Moon, Venus, Mars, the Solar System and beyond; as a member of the Mars Society, the Moon Society, Icarus Interstellar, Gateway Spaceport.
