Jacob Pander is a filmmaker and visual artist. He has directed music
videos for artists such as Fantastic Plastic Machine, Howie B., and
Spacer, and short films including the cult hit, The Operation. His work
has garnered top awards and been featured in film festivals around the
world. His strong sense of storytelling and visual art background
drives Panders distinct cinematic style. Recent films include the
feature length documentary, PAINTED LIFE, a personal look at the life
and work of his father, Dutch immigrant artist, Henk Pander. Jacob and
his brother, Arnold, have created a variety of media projects as The
Pander Brothers, working in film, video, comics, animation design and
illustration. They have written and illustrated comic book series for
DC Comics, Dark Horse and Marvel Comics. Their work has been nominated
for the Eisner and Manning awards for groundbreaking artwork in the
comics medium, and published in national magazines such as Details,
Spin, Paper and Wired. Jacob is also Creative Partner and co-founder of
Conveyer Films, a full service commercial production company and DVD
authoring house.
