After high school, Brett tested Hollywood stardom before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps where he served in Desert Storm as part of the 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion. After his honorable discharge in 1994, Brett once again put his Hollywood dreams on hold because law enforcement and the love of his life came calling.
