John Cena Name Drops 3 Former WWE Superstars and Blames Cm Punk for Ruining Their Career in Fiery Promo
Image
WWE is up to some unprecedented developments in recent times. One such moment occurred during the recent edition of Friday Night SmackDown. The pipe bomb promo delivered by Cm Punk was a thorn in the legacy of John Cena. In some ways, he tried to heal his wounds by throwing a similar attack against the Second City Saint, who was defenseless this time around.

But while most WWE fans noticed the scathing remarks and similarities between the two pipe bomb promos, there was some substance as well, beyond the rhetoric. John Cena blamed Cm Punk for destroying three careers in the WWE, which left WWE enthusiasts wondering whether it had some truth to it.

John Cena stuns the WWE universe by naming 3 former WWE superstars during his recent promo John Cena re-creating the pipebomb moment. (Image Credit: WWE)

The April 16 episode of “Dynamite” on TBS will mark the show’s 289th, meaning it has officially aired longer than the 288 episodes produced by WCW’s “Monday Nitro,” which aired on fellow Turner network TNT from 1995-2001.

“It had a major influence on anyone that was watching wrestling at that time,” Aew president, CEO and general manager Tony Khan said of “Nitro” in an interview with Variety. “Some of the real highlights of ’90s professional wrestling happened on that show.”

“Nitro” is one of the most important shows in wrestling history, having fueled the so-called Monday Night Wars against WWE and “Monday Night Raw” in the mid 1990s. A dedicated fan and student of pro wrestling, Khan in particular praised early “Nitro” storylines like “Macho Man,” Randy Savage...
