Sinners, the latest collaboration between star Michael B. Jordan and director Ryan Coogler, promises some bone-chilling moments as the supernatural horror film takes things to an extreme, vintage style. The period drama's IMAX trailer shows Jordan's twin protagonists proverbially dancing with the devil, setting up their inevitable faceoff with the undead.
On Mar. 26, Warner Bros. released a new IMAX trailer for Sinners. The latest preview shows Jordan's central characters, twin brothers Smoke and Stack, throwing an event in their native Mississippi, where they indulge in a good time and get wild with some women they encounter. However, an ominous voice warns that "you keep dancing with the devil, one day he's gonna follow you home," suggesting there's more to the people the brothers interact with than meets the eye. The trailer then turns up the heat, showing a burned-down house and a lit lamp with someone saying "Peekaboo" with bad intentions.

Sinners, a genre picture and a period piece from frequent collaborators Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan – who have worked on Fruitvale Station, Creed, Black Panther, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever together as director and cast member, and have other collaborations that Coogler didn’t direct – is set up at Warner Bros., has a budget of around $90 million, and is scheduled for a theatrical release on April 18, 2025 (having moved back from a previously announced March release date). As we get closer to that date, the marketing department keeps unveiling more and more posters for the film. We’ve already seen several (there were even 13 character posters), and now there are several more to be seen at the bottom of this article! Our friends at Bloody Disgusting got the first look at the 4Dx ones.

Though it was completely overshadowed by Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday cast announcement, Warner Bros. released a new IMAX trailer for Ryan Coogler's Sinners on Wednesday, and it features plenty of creepy new footage from the Black Panther director's first foray into the horror genre.
This latest trailer reveals a little more about twin brothers "Smoke" and "Stack" (Michael B. Jordan), and why they decide to return to their hometown right before all hell breaks loose.
We see glimpses of vampire attacks and plenty of bloody carnage, but there also seems to be some kind of dark force more powerful than the undead at play here.
Check out the IMAX trailer, a featurette and two new posters below, and let us know what you think in the comments section.

The Michael B. Jordan supernatural thriller, Sinners, is on track to become a winner for Warner Bros. at the box office. Jordan's latest collaboration with director Ryan Coogler gets an encouraging opening weekend projection ahead of its Easter release.
According to Deadline, Sinners looks set to make over $40 million domestically during its opening weekend, an encouraging number considering its $90 million production budget. Though some tracking services have Sinners grossing closer to $30 million in its first three days, the report notes that Warner Bros. will significantly step up its marketing push in the run-in to the film's theatrical release.
Warner Bros. acquired the rights to Sinners early last year, winning a bidding war for the project after Jordan and Coogler had been developing it extensively. The studio is banking on Jordan and Coogler's proven track record with previous collaborations as they found critical and commercial success with Fruitvale Station, Creed and both Black Panther movies.

Warner Bros is once again digging into Fortnite as part of a promotion for Ryan Coogler‘s upcoming Sinners. Based on the film starring Michael B. Jordan, the Sawhorse-developed Sinners: Survive the Night has just launched in Fortnite, and pits teams of six players against vampires in a Survival Horror challenge.
Per Variety, Sinners: Survive the Night features likenesses of Jordan and other members of the cast in a custom map based on the film. Gameplay features an albeit expected (but welcome) twist that’s akin to Halo‘s Infection Mode: those players who have been eliminated subsequently become vampires, forcing players to fight against their former teammates.
The main goal for Human players is to survive until daylight, while the Vampires must eliminating all remaining human players before dawn. In-game currency can be collected by recruiting Npc allies and unlocking items within the experience.

Horror is a genre that we cinephiles can't live without, despite how frightening and disturbing it can be. The genre has a certain appeal that lends viewers chills and thrills, which is something that we all crave in our lives occasionally. Over the years, several amazing horror films, such as Hereditary, Smile, and Midsommar, have proved yet again that horror hasn't gone completely downhill since the 1990s and that modern films are worth watching.
Similarly, many more innovative horror films have been released in recent years, with some bringing classic cartoon characters as terrifying serial killers who will stop at nothing. With the release of various intriguing horror films in 2025, including Companion, Nosferatu, and The Monkey, the year appears to be rather promising, but it will be a long road before we see the end of it. In the meantime, these are the best horror movies that will be released...

The anticipated supernatural period thriller, Sinners, sees Michael B. Jordan pulling double duty in the Warner Bros. tentpole. A new preview of the upcoming blockbuster sees the award-winning actor portraying his twin brother characters.
Via DiscussingFilm on X (formerly Twitter), a new Sinners poster shows Jordan decked out as twin brothers Smoke and Stack in front of a vintage vehicle, sporting similar suits but different hats to distinguish them. The poster also confirms Sinners will be getting an IMAX 70mm release as the film was shot using IMAX cameras.
Though Jordan's characters are twins, he recently insisted that the characters have very different mannerisms, with Smoke, who's on the left in the poster, being the more confrontational of the two brothers, with Stack being the more reserved character. Jordan embraced the challenge of playing twins as it was one of the hooks that drew him into the dual role, while...

Writer-director Ryan Coogler and star Michael B. Jordan introduce a new clip from Sinners below.
“It’s cut down to avoid as many spoilers as possible, but it’s a really great scene to show what all we’re playing with and a little bit of the world,” Coogler explains.
“I typically don’t like watching horror movies, because I generally get scared,” Jordan admits. “But I don’t think I’ve laughed as much during the process of shooting a movie.”
Shot with IMAX film cameras, the period vampire film opens in theaters on April 18 via Warner Bros.

Before he returns to the MCU to helm Black Panther 3, Ryan Coogler will dip his toe into the horror genre for a period vampire tale starring frequent collaborator Michael B. Jordan.
Sinners is set to hit theaters next month, and Warner Bros. has now released the first full clip from the movie.
There may be spoilers ahead.
Coogler and Jordan introduce the new preview, which finds Cornbread (Omar Benson Miller) attempting to convince one of Jordan's character's, Smoke (he plays twin brothers), to invite him inside. Wunmi Mosaku's Annie doesn't believe that Cornbread is simply being polite, and rightly guesses that he has another reason for needing an invitation to the dance.
Smoke puts his hand over the threshold to give Cornbread his money, and the clip concludes with a quick flash of fangs.

Although streaming platforms have made our lives easier by bringing in a plethora of films each month and often producing their own, nothing quite beats the theatrical experience. In fact, the right movie can make you feel lost in its charm for hours, if not days, demonstrating why the big-screen experience matters more than what many people believe.
As a result, many movie enthusiasts still prefer to see them in theaters, creating an ongoing demand for more projects. If you're wondering what to watch the following month with so many new releases, we've got you covered. Below is a list of all the films that will be available in theaters in April 2025, with some highlighted based on their significance.

Warner Bros. has shared thirteen new character posters from Ryan Coogler's Sinners, offering a fresh new look at the devlish heroes and villains set to feature in the upcoming horror thriller.
While not much is yet known about the plot, save for the fact that Michael B. Jordan will be forced to square off with vampires, including his recently turned twin brother, which should only up the ante as he and a small group of survivors attempt to make it to daybreak.
When asked about his latest film, Coogler teased, “Sinners is a unique one. It’s genre fluid. There are vampires in the film, but it’s really about a lot more than just that. It’s one of many elements, I’ll say. I think we’re going to surprise people with it.”

The year 2024 was a significant one for horror movies, highlighted by a successful awards season and dominance by the genre at the box office. Notably, the Oscars recognized four films within the genre, signaling a growing appreciation for horror’s artistic merit.
The Academy Awards have historically marginalized horror films, with The Silence of the Lambs in 1991 a notable exception. Its “Big Five” sweep — Best Picture, Director, Actor, Actress, and Adapted Screenplay — remains a unique achievement. However, the recent nominations of films like The Substance and Nosferatu indicate a growing willingness to acknowledge the genre, signaling a potential change in the awards landscape.
The ‘Silence of the Lambs’ cast and production winners hold their Oscars at the 64th Academy Awards in 1992. The film won five Oscars.
Horror at the Academy Awards was first recognized in 1974, when William Friedkin’s groundbreaking The Exorcist received a remarkable 10 nominations including Best Picture. While it won just two awards,...

The hype for Sinners has officially increased tenfold, as an Academy Award-winning filmmaker has given the film a glowing endorsement. Sinners stars Michael B. Jordan in a vampire film, the third Warner Bros. movie of 2025, where an actor plays dual roles — following Mickey 17 and The Alto Knights. Sinners is directed by Ryan Coogler, who has just come off two back-to-back Black Panther films, meaning expectations are high. But movie fans can breathe a sigh of relief, as Spike Lee has given the film a glowing endorsement.
The legendary director behind classics like Do the Right Thing, Malcolm X, 25th Hour, BlacKkKlansman, and Da 5 Bloods, had the chance to screen Sinners early, and has nothing but great things to say about the movie. Lee posted a photo with director Ryan Coogler on his Instagram in front of the poster for Sinners, revealing he got to see a film screening...

Before he returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a third Black Panther movie, Ryan Coogler will step into the horror genre for Sinners, which is set to hit theaters next month.
On the heels of a spoiler-filled full trailer, Warner Bros. has released a new poster for the movie, giving us another look at Michael B. Jordan as one of two twin brothers who find themselves facing-off against vampires in the Jim Crow-era Deep South.
In addition, the movie has been given an official R-rating for "strong bloody violence, sexual content and language."
Some horror hounds were worried that the studio might bring this one in with a PG-13, but it sounds like, at the very least, we can expect some blood-soaked carnage. Reports from test-screenings have been mixed, but that last trailer definitely seemed to get more people on board.

The new Michael B. Jordan/Ryan Coogler collaboration, Sinners, has been building hype since it was secretively being shopped around to the big studios last year. The project had the studios in Hollywood excited to bid against each other and Warner Bros. would come out on top. A couple of trailers have since dropped and teased some supernatural mayhem. The ratings board has now revealed that the vampire movie has been Rated R for strong bloody violence, sexual content and language.
Coogler has written the script for this project, which has been described as both a genre picture and a period piece. The project is set up at Warner Bros., has a budget of around $90 million, and is scheduled for a theatrical release on April 18, 2025 (having moved back from a previously announced March release date). Thenew blood-sucking vampire flick from the mind of Ryan Coogler starring Michael B. Jordan, Sinners, is tracking better than anticipated according to early box office reporting. The top brass at Warner Bros., who are said to be nervously watching their expensive 2025 movie slate at the box office, should be happy to see that the big-budget horror thriller is gaining interest among theater-going audiences.
According to Puck, Sinners is tracking better than Mickey 17 thus far on The Quorum, a company that provides early box office tracking data that rates a movie's potential reach well before it hits theaters. As of this writing, the upcoming vampire film has an Awareness score of 29 and an Interest score of 45, which is on par with, if not better, than Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts*, which has been gaining traction as of late due to a subversive marketing campaign. ITV Invests in Diversity
ITV has announced an additional £80 million ($101.4 million) ring-fenced for diverse commissioning over the next three years, alongside doubling its Diversity Development Fund to £1 million ($1.3 million). This follows the success of the inaugural Diversity Commissioning Fund, launched in 2022, which originally committed £80 million ($101 million) over three years to support diverse-led projects and a £500,000 fund to help develop qualifying ideas.
The Diversity Commissioning Spend has led to significant progress in increasing commissions from diverse-led companies while also expanding ITV’s reach to new audiences and fostering on-screen talent. The fund focuses on addressing the underrepresentation of people of color and deaf, disabled or neurodivergent individuals.
The initiative, which will run from 2025 to 2027, is open to qualifying companies that meet criteria related to diverse ownership, creative leadership, storytelling, or salary distribution. ITV is seeking compelling, inclusive ideas to appeal to broad audiences, particularly those aged 25-54.

It’s not always easy to care about the human characters in the MonsterVerse movies, but Legendary is surely assembling quite the cast for their follow-up to Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. THR reports that the great Delroy Lindo has joined the cast of the new MonsterVerse movie.
Plot details are naturally being kept under wraps at this time, but Legendary has teased that the sequel will feature “several new human characters alongside the beloved and iconic Titans Godzilla and Kong as they face off against a cataclysmic world-ending threat.“ Kaitlyn Dever (The Last of Us) is set to star in the new MonsterVerse project, with Jack O’Connell (28 Years Later) said to be playing the brother of Dever’s character. Dan Stevens (Abigail) is also expected to reprise the role of Trapper, Monarch’s Titan veterinarian who memorably replaced Kong’s infected tooth with a metallic one in the last movie.

Michael B. Jordan has offered an update on the development of the next installment in the Rocky spin-off Creed franchise, revealing that Creed 4 is happening...but it could be a while. Jordan first led the Creed spin-off back in 2015, introducing audiences to Adonis "Donnie" Creed, an aspiring boxer and the son of the late, great Carl Weathers’ world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed. Turning to Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky Balboa for guidance, the Creed franchise has now carved out its own legacy as a sports drama classic.
Now, speaking with GQ, Michael B. Jordan has revealed that he is now thinking about the direction of Creed 4, with the actor, who will also return to direct after making his filmmaking debut with 2023’s Creed 3, determined to get the sequel right.
“Yeah, the fourth one, eventually, not sure when, but we left that door open to build on that franchise.

Selena Gomez, Zoe Saldaña, Jesse Eisenberg, Joe Alwyn, Isabella Rossellini, Colman Domingo and Ralph Fiennes are among the presenters set for the 2025 BAFTA Film Awards.
Notably missing from the attendees list was Emilia Pérez star Karla Sofía Gascón, whose awards campaign has catastrophically imploded following the discovery of controversial posts made on her X (previously Twitter) account. The star — the first trans actor to be nominated for an Oscar — has apologized, though tensions are said to be high between Gascón and streamer Netflix for hindering the film’s Oscar hopes. She has now been phased out of its awards campaign entirely.
The British Academy confirmed the guest and presenter lineup ahead of the prestigious ceremony Sunday, Feb. 16 at London’s Royal Festival Hall.
Other presenters include Adam Pearson, Adam Scott, Anna Kendrick, Camila Cabello, Celia Imrie, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Gwendoline Christie, Hannah John-Kamen, James McAvoy, James Norton, Letitia Wright, Leo Woodall,...

Emilia Pérez star Karla Sofía Gascón is not expected among the attendees for the BAFTA Film Awards after her racially insensitive X/Twitter posts were uncovered.
Gascón is nominated for Leading Actress at the BAFTAs but is not on a guest list for the night, suggesting that the transgender Spanish performer will skip Sunday’s ceremony. She was the first openly trans actress to be nominated for a BAFTA Film Award.
Gascón has already missed the Critics Choice Awards, PGA Awards, and the Goya Awards, but the BAFTAs is arguably the highest-profile event she will not attend. Netflix and her reps did not respond to requests for comment.
Other Emilia Pérez nominees, including Zoe Saldaña and Selena Gomez (both competing for Supporting Actress), are expected to be in London for the Royal Festival Hall event. Saldaña and Gomez will also present a prize.

In a virtual press conference held by Warner Bros. Pictures on Tuesday, January 28, filmmaker Ryan Coogler unveiled the latest trailer for his horror thriller “Sinners.” Starring Michael B. Jordan in the dual role of twin brothers Smoke and Stack, the film is set during one day in 1932 and features a whole host of elements that make it a lot more than your traditional vampire flick.
“The film is very genre fluid,” Coogler said (as per The Hollywood Reporter). “It switches in and out of a lot of different genres. Yes, vampires are an element, but it’s not the only supernatural element in the movie. The film is about more than just that.”
He views the supernatural as something intertwined with the spiritual, with “Sinners” contrasting the religious fervor shared in the light with the subversive blues culture of the time explored in the dark. In making the film, Coogler...
