Argentine-born in 1974. He studied Communication Arts and Marketing and
several courses in Argentine (Universidad de Belgrano, Buenos Aires).
Luis Pascual joined the industry in 1995, is a trained and highly
experienced Producer and Director and has been working since then.
He started his career at "Argentina Televisora Color (ATC Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Television Federal (TELEFE Buenos Aires, Argentina), then ran his own production company with some partners for several years before deciding to become fully Executive as a Producer and Director in their own Corporations (Post Media Inc. & American One Entertainment Corp.) in Miami, Florida, USA.
He has shot on nearly every format available in both film and videotape, and has made many productions for both Cinema and Television. He has also made Corporate Videos, Pop Promos, Short Films, Television Programs, Series, Soap Opera, Prime-Time Prog., Live TV, Comedy, Drama, Commercial Spots, Video Clips, Hotel Channels, Trailers, Title Sequences, Infomercials and Music Concerts.
Pascual's most prestigious role as a Television Producer was on a tv serie called "El Rafa, de Alejandro Doria" and "Verano del '98" a prime-time soap opera. Both productions are well recognized in Argentine. (Television Federal, Buenos Aires).
He has also been independently consulted on a number of different Television Production Companies (Post Media Argentina, Fenix Entertainment Group, Sky Blue Producciones, Quest Artes Audiovisuales, Megaticket Producciones) and Advertising Agencies (Leo Burnett, Agulla y Bachetti) as well as successfully planning and purchasing the Television airtime for two enterprises that he also produced and directed.
Pascual is also an accomplished Scriptwriter, and was recently commissioned to make several commercial spots for a beauty brand in United States. Nowadays his company has been hired to develop a feature film script for Hollywood. He is now located in Argentina since March, 2005 for this project.
Having a detailed understanding of the latest technology available to Television Producers and Filmmakers, Pascual was the first in Argentine to direct a Website Commercial created in a Virtual Studio, as well as the first to use 24 hs real time cameras on regular persons and situations and use them as contents of their own television ideas. (Then called: Reality Shows)
Pascual's time is currently devoted to "Post Media Inc.", "American One Entertainment Corp." and "Caesars Films" new independent production companies geared to making film, television and commercials. Also, he is a media correspondent representative, based in Miami, USA, for several Argentine's productions companies.
Luis Gerardo Pascual is now working on a Sci-Fi trilogy for Hollywood, California, since Feb. 2005, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This is the first time this thing has happened in this country.
On a different note, Luis Pascual has lectured at several Universities about what life as an independent freelance media correspondent is really like, as well as regularly running a series of workshops with beginners wanting to gain more experience of working in this great industry.
