After a four-year hiatus that feels almost archaeological in television terms, “No Man’s Land” resurfaces with its second season, carrying the weight of both contemporary relevance and temporal displacement. Created by Amit Cohen and Ron Leshem, this French-international production ventures into the Syrian conflict’s most volatile territories, where the Kurdish Women’s Protection Units (Ypj) wage their fierce resistance against Isis occupation.
The series centers on Anna Habert, portrayed by Mélanie Thierry, whose journey through the fractured landscapes of war serves as both personal odyssey and geopolitical examination. The show’s international cast—including James Krishna Floyd, Leo Hatton, and Zed Josef—inhabits a world where moral certainties dissolve under the pressure of survival.
Season 2 picks up narrative threads that span from Texas suburbs to Syrian battlefields, attempting to weave together disparate storylines about radicalization, resistance, and the human cost of ideological warfare. This ambitious scope reflects television’s growing appetite for global storytelling,...

Despite boasting a huge internal market, Brazil long seemed an island of its own when it came to fostering international collaboration. Alas, these days are long gone, with a ramping number of co-productions inching the country closer and closer to major producing potencies such as the US and Europe.
“New international partners have been seeking us directly,” says Alex Medeiros, Director of Drama, Documentaries, and Films at Globoplay Originals, the streaming powerhouse behind Walter Salles’s history-making, Oscar-winning “I’m Still Here.” Globo is the biggest production force in Latin America, and currently has partnerships with Gaumont, Beta Film, Fremantle, and Disney, the latter a co-production deal for four films, including “Na Linha de Fogo,” directed by Afonso Poyart (“Solace”).

Trump’s plan to Make Hollywood Great Again by imposing a 100 percent tariff on “any and all Movies coming into our Country that are produced in Foreign Lands” has left the industry with more questions than answers. Like: Huh? Or: Is this even legal? And our personal favorite: What about TV?
“We Want Movies Made In America, Again!” Trump ranted on Sunday evening. “The Movie Industry in America is Dying a very fast death. Other Countries are offering all sorts of incentives to draw our filmmakers and studios away from the United States. Hollywood, and many other areas within the U.S.A., are being devastated. This is a concerted effort by other Nations and, therefore, a National Security threat. It is, in addition to everything else, messaging and propaganda!”
By Monday morning, Trump’s press liaison was already walking all of that back a bit.

It's probably no coincidence that Netflix chose to release the Israeli coming-of-age series Bad Boy at this stage. Not too long ago, the streamer witnessed the massive success of the British series Adolescence, which revolved around the murder of a teenage girl and the young boy accused of having committed the crime. Adolescence became a runaway hit, drawing some of the biggest viewership figures in Netflix's history. Coincidentally, Bad Boy tackles many of the same themes as that show, and has the potential to become the streamer's next big international hit, at least if its early viewership is any indication.
The eight-episode drama hails from Ron Leshem — who remains best known for having created the original Israeli Euphoria, which inspired Sam Levinson's HBO remake — and Hagar Ben-Asher (Dead Women Walking). Leshem himself describedBad Boy as "the next Euphoria" in the past. The show debuted this past week to positive reviews and encouraging audience buzz.

A familiar face will not be back for the upcoming third season of Euphoria. Storm Reid, who portrayed Rue’s (Zendaya) younger sister Gia Bennett on the first two seasons of the HBO teen drama, will not return.
“I’m very excited for Season 3,” Reid told Rotten Tomatoes on the Governors Awards red carpet. “Unfortunately, Gia’s not returning to the third season, but I am so so indebted to the cast and the crew of that show, to HBO. Euphoria’s a really special thing and I’m so glad that that’s a part of my legacy and that I was a part of such a cultural phenomenon … I can’t wait to see what Season 3 has in store.”
HBO declined comment.

Casey Bloys has damped down speculation that Euphoria’s third season won’t start filming in the new year.
Bloys, who is Chairman and CEO, HBO and Max Content said “nothing has changed”. “Somebody said something online and then this whole thing started. We are shooting the season, I have read the scripts, we’re happy, we’re moving ahead,” he added. “I know the show gets a lot of attention now because it has created some genuine movie stars, and they have various projects that they’re working on. But we are shooting this season, so nothing has changed.”
This comes after online reports that the Sam Levinson-created show would nix its 2025 shoot and ostensibly coming to an end.
In July, HBO revealed that the third season of the youth-skewing drama would shoot its third season in January, with filming pushed back from 2024 as Levinson was still working on scripts.

“Euphoria” Season 3 is still on track, according to Hboi/Max boss Casey Bloys. HBO had previously announced that Season 3 would at long last go into production in January 2025, almost exactly three years after the premiere of Season 2, and according to Bloys, that is still the case.
“We are shooting ‘Euphoria,'” he told reporters on Tuesday at an HBO/Max press event.” I think we have a start date, mid to late January. Nothing’s changed. Somebody said something online, and then this whole thing started. We are shooting the season. I have read the scripts. We’re happy. We’re moving ahead. All of the actors are in the show.”
Recently, several key cast members have lined up other major roles that would seemingly conflict with the announced “Euphoria” production schedule.

HBO finally clarified the current status of its long-awaited Euphoria Season 3, after over two years since the hit coming-of-age drama had wrapped up its 8-episode second season run. This comes after multiple outlets recently reported the rumored cancellation of the Zendaya-led series.
Per TheWrap, a representative from HBO quickly shut down the rumors that Euphoria Season 3 has been delayed or scrapped by describing the recent reports as "absolutely false." The said representative also stressed that production on the third installment is still on schedule to start in early 2025, which HBO first announced last July. The cast and crew were originally going to film Season 3 last year. However, due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, production was ultimately delayed, leaving its star-studded cast to pursue other projects.

Euphoria season 3 will break away from its high school roots with the same core cast members returning. The new setting away from high school could change the show's premise. While a risk, season 3's departure from high school could lead to a fresh start after mixed reviews of season 2.

Celina Murga’s “The Freshly Cut Grass,” executive produced by Martin Scorsese, is debuting at the Tribeca Festival and Variety has been given exclusive access to its first trailer and poster ahead of its world premiere on June 8.
Penned by Murga, director Juan Villegas (“Las Vegas”) and Lucía Osorio with the collaboration of Gabriela Larralde, the plot centers around two couples who engage in extramarital affairs and how, despite having the same professional position, they are treated differently because of their gender.
An exploration of the sexism and misogyny that permeates relationships both at home and in the workplace, pic offers a timely look at feminism, sexism, and the subtle ways these issues affect both men and women, all through the microcosm of two marriages.
“I like it when films make us question ourselves instead of giving us simple answers. ‘The Freshly Cut Grass’ seeks to reflect about the complex...

Colman Domingo explains why Euphoria Season 3 has been delayed, with the HBO show last airing in February 2022.
In a new interview, Domingo opened up about why the series that stars Zendaya has been pushed back and said it had to do with creator Sam Levinson adjusting the story to reflect the real world.
“[Sam is] a person who writes and rewrites and writes and rewrites again, because I think he’s wrestling with what’s important,” Domingo told GQ in an interview recently. “He’s responding immediately to what the ills of the world are. I know that the one thing I can tell you is that he’s very much interested in the existential question of who we are right now. Our souls. That’s what he wants to figure out with season three.”

Exclusive: The Israeli producers and writers guilds have been in talks with Series Mania bosses after the festival’s chief said it was “impossible” for a show from the country to be included in its official selection this year.
Sources from the Israeli sector reacted with alarm and contacted Deadline after reading the quote from Laurence Herszberg. Since then, we understand the Israeli Producers Association (Ipa) and Screenwriters Guild of Israel have sought clarification, after a local Israeli news site reported that Israeli broadcasters and producers had, in fact, submitted numerous shows.
The issue began when, unveiling the competition participants earlier this week, Herszberg claimed that “in Israel, many ongoing projects were shut down, making it impossible for Series Mania to include an Israeli production” for the first time in the fest’s history. She added that the festival had been affected by “several international crises” including the Israel-Hamas War and Russo-Ukrainian War.
