Rick and Morty's showrunner couldn't manage to craft a time loop episode, but this is territory that the franchise has already breached in the comics. It's been a rule for the show to never cover time travel, largely because it's considered a worn-out trope, but also because it's such a complicated one to fully delve into. The show seldom breaks this rule, but never enough for a full-fledged A-story.
In an interview with Polygon, Rick and Morty creator Dan Harmon and showrunner Scott Marder further discussed their difficulties with trying to create a time loop episode of the television series. When asked if there are any concepts in season 8 that they struggled to do for years and have only now found a way, they responded with the following:

Film stars might seem to be making some inroads with this year’s New York Drama League Awards nominations – George Clooney, Robert Downey Jr., Paul Mescal, Mia Farrow and Jake Gyllenhaal, among others, are all accounted for – but stage stalwarts like Amber Gray, David Greenspan, André De Shields, Beth Leavel, and Idina Menzel are certainly well represented.
Sarah Hyland (The Great Gatsby) and Orville Peck (Cabaret) announced the 2025 Drama League Award nominees this morning at an event held at Lincoln Center’s New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. The Drama League awards cover both Broadway and Off Broadway. The awards will be presented at the 91st Annual Drama League Awards Friday, May 16, at the Ziegfeld Ballroom.

Warning! Spoilers for Transformers #16Two of the most powerful Decepticons in the Transformers franchise have finally faced off in the Energon Universe, as the enemy faction has split in the new continuity. Soundwave and Starscream have each taken leadership over separate cadres of Decepticons in Megatron’s absence, and the two groups are currently more concerned with fighting each other rather than the Autobots.
Coming from the creative team of Daniel Warren Johnson, Jorge Corona, Sarah Stern, and Rus Wooton, Transformers #16 sees the Combaticons finally merge into their combined form as Bruticus, which of course leads the Constructicons to merge into Devastator.
Both Combiners have chosen their sides in the split Decepticons, with the Constructicons remaining loyal to Soundwave, while the Combaticons have aligned themselves with Starscream’s rogue faction. Transformers #16 wastes no time in pitting the two titans against each other, resulting in a beautiful double-page splash by Corona and Stern.

Warning! Spoilers ahead for Transformers #16
A Decepticon is leaving the enemy ranks in the Transformers (2023) corner of the Energon Universe, resulting in a major shake-up of the enemy Cybertronian faction. The Decepticon ranks have been in flux in recent issues of the ongoing Transformers series, as several leadership changes have resulted in differing factions forming. Now, another Decepticon exits stage left, leaving his allegiance in the Autobot/Decepticon war in question.
Coming from the creative team of Daniel Warren Johnson, Jorge Corona, Sarah Stern and Rus Wooton, Transformers #16 picks up the story from the previous issue, which sees Soundwave’s Decepticons squaring off against Starscream’s new faction of rebel Decepticons.
During the battle, Starscream encounters his old Sky Brother Thundercracker. Starscream calls his allegiance to Soundwave into question, revealing that the newly-elected Decepticon leader was responsible for cannibalizing his brother Skywarp for his Energon. Warning! Spoilers for Transformers #16After almost a year of build-up, Megatron has finally entered the main story in Transformers, and the Energon Universe will never be the same again. The Decepticon leader has been M.I.A. since his appearance in last summer’s Energon Universe Special #1, but now Megatron is looking to take back the leadership of the Decepticons as the different factions of Soundwave and Starscream battle it out on Earth.
Coming from the creative team of Daniel Warren Johnson, Jorge Corona, Sarah Stern and Rus Wooton, Transformers #16 ends with Laserbeak arriving in an undisclosed desert location. Soundwave previously sent his mini-cassette on a mission in the last issue, and now it’s confirmed that Laserbeak was looking for Megatron.

Warning! The stakes continue to grow for the Robots in Disguise, and with three factions of Cybertronians waging war on Earth, things are looking ever more grim for humanity.
Coming from the creative team of Daniel Warren Johnson, Jorge Corona, Sarah Stern, and Rus Wooton, Transformers #15 returns readers to the main story after the brief two-issue arc focusing on Starscream. The latest issue of Skybound’s reboot shows Prime going on a violent rampage, before stopping himself before he goes too far.

Romance in Power Rangers offers emotional investment beyond action and drama, resonating with universal desires for love and relationships. Power couples like Jason and Trini show that romantic relationships can impact character growth and even leadership roles within the franchise. Unconventional pairings, such as Bulk and Hailey, provide depth to characters and showcase redemption arcs beyond the typical hero narratives.
Romance is one of the most overlooked aspects of the Power Rangers franchise. It's not as essential to the plot as, say, the drama or the action, but romance being utilized in any form of storytelling is easy to get audiences interested in by offering something that they can become emotionally invested in.
Not every audience member can relate to donning a colorful superhero costume to battle monsters, but they can relate to being in love and the hope of falling in love. After all, that's what everyone wants at the end of the day,...

Believe it or not, Kimberly Hart's best costume didn't come from her time with the Power Rangers. The former Pink Ranger's best costume arrives during her post-Ranger life. The series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Pink offers readers insight into her life after leaving the team during the show's second season, after giving her powers to Kat.
Kimberly finds herself in the Netherlands to continue her career as a gymnast in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Pink #1 by Brenden Fletcher, Kelly Thompson, Daniele Di Nicuolo, Sarah Stern, and Ed Dukeshire. When danger unexpectedly strikes, Kimberly doesn't have her Ranger powers, suit, or weapons — but she compensates in the best way possible.
Kimberly equips a nightstick, combat boots, fingerless gloves, a crossbow, kick pads, a shoulder pad, and some loose change she can re-purpose into weaponry. "Eat your heart out, Mad Max," she narrates after capping off her outfit with a leather jacket.

As I type this, my post on the first volume of Steeple was written close to a month ago but has not yet gone live. So I am trying to space things out on this blog, but I may not be spacing them quite far enough for my own systems to work well.
In any case, this is a sequel to the first Steeple , which was written and drawn by John Allison with colors from Sarah Stern and letters from Jim Campbell. The first collection also appeared first as a five-issue series of floppy comics.
Steeple, Vol. 2: The Silvery Moon , by comparison, appeared originally on-line at Allison’s site , and is an all-Allison joint. This one collects two somewhat discrete stories, and I can even link you to those stories online, on the cheekily-titled steeple.church site: The Silvery Moon and Secret Sentai . I have two theories about John Allison’s best stories, or maybe two versions of the same theory. One goes that his best works are organized around triumvirates – I should perhaps say triumfeminates – such as Bad Machinery and Giant Days , which allows the three main characters to bounce off each other in complicated ways. This theory goes on to say that the more straightforward, less convoluted Allison works are more likely to have two main characters who contrast each other in a more obvious way. [1]
The other theory is more straightforward: in every generation of Allison protagonists, there is a female character who embodies chaos, around whom reality itself sometimes bends, who is a force of nature, who both the complications of the narrative and the audience love. Shelly Winters, Charlotte Grote, Esther De Groot – that kind of character. The Allison stories that feature one of those characters are the best ones.

This is the remaining two-thirds of John Allison’s attempt to see if he could reconfigure the essential Britishness of his writing and port Tackleford wholesale to its American equivalent: Spectrum, South Dakota.
(No, I don’t quite see it, either. I’m thinking some old mill town in western Massachusetts would be better, or somewhere in coastal Maine, but I am an East Coaster to begin with.)
In case that’s confusing: John Allison writes sprightly, fun stories with various levels of fantasy elements, set mostly in the English Midlands, often centering around the quirky town of Tackleford, first as a series of webcomics and increasingly as floppy comics that people actually pay money for (most famously Giant Days ). A couple of years ago, he launched a series called By Night, with many Tacklefordian flourishes, set in, as I said, the distant town of Spectrum. The comic was drawn...

I am unabashedly a John Allison fan; I’ll say that up front. I may not have been quite as much of a long-term Allison fan as some — I discovered him around the time Scarygoround begat Bad Machinery, if I remember correctly — but I’ve been reading his stuff for a decade or two and writing about it here for nearly as long.
So if I say that his new-ish series By Night , whose first volume I just read, is slightly disappointing, I want to be clear that I mean that I am not gushing about it in the manner I usually do for Allison projects. It’s fun and zippy and quirky and interesting; it’s a good comic. It’s just not as Allisonian (at least to me) as I hoped.

Sarah Stern hasn’t been seen since Dec. 2, when she left her New Jersey home in her grandmother’s 1994 Oldsmobile. The next day, her vehicle was found on a bridge nearby, the keys still in the ignition.
Her body was nowhere in sight.
Nearly two months after the aspiring artist’s mysterious disappearance, police said Stern was murdered and arrested two of her closest friends in connection with her death — accusations that her father reportedly called “unbelievable” and “disgusting.”
Liam McAtasney faces six charges for allegedly strangling Stern, including first-degree murder, while Preston Taylor allegedly helped dispose of her body.
