Marcus Brown(II)

From Sunderland, UK to London, Frankfurt, Los Angeles, and many times around the world, Marcus Brown is an experienced, accomplished and versatile musician and composer. His creativity in writing and production draws from three decades of pushing the boundaries of popular music, from his early career in London in the 1990s working with breakthrough, indie drum and bass artists Genaside II and Tricky; to Los Angeles and his 21st Century A-list international touring career with Madonna, Ozzy Osbourne and Seal (as principle keyboard player/production team member). He is reputed for his attention to detail, ability to deliver excellent results and astute professionalism.

His composition and sound design work have broken boundaries and won awards, including an installation at the Museum of Modern Art in New York for excellence in sound design. From Steven Dewey and Giorgio Moroder to David Foster and Steve Robson, Marcus has had the privilege to meaningfully work alongside some of the greatest innovators in production, sound, music and synthesis.

Despite a significant career with A-list artists and in post-production/commercial music houses in Hollywood, Marcus has always kept one foot in indie productions and artist development, keeping his work fresh and cutting edge. Currently developing new and innovative immersive audio compositions as Sybil Productions co-founder and creative director, Marcus also maintains his own flexible portfolio of composition, production and development work.
