Born in East Germany, Christian worked as AD for commercials in Brazil after his studies in visual communication at the Bauhaus Weimar. Since 2005 he has made several short films, both fiction and documentary. In 2007 he began his studies in film directing at the well-known Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. His middle length film "Monika" was shown at several festivals such as tiff. New Wave, Olhar de Cinema, Cine Jeune and won multiple awards in Germany. 2010 he took part at the UCLA Masterclass in LA and at the Berlinale Talent Campus. He graduated with the feature film "Foreign Body", which brought him recognition and awards (Grand Prix Sakhalin, Russia, Grand Prix Sichuan, China, audience award at Max Ophuels Festival) at various international Filmfestivals. Besides commissioned work for TV and commercials he is working on his cinema debut.
