Sister of Nell Potts and Melissa Newman.

She is the baby on the beach at the end of Rachel Rachel though you never see a clear shot of her face because she was crying from being scared by the crashing waves.

Born on New York City's Upper West Side at 11:20 AM on April 21st 1965 via natural childbirth according to the Milestones column in Time Magazine's April 30th,1965 issue.

She is named after a character in Lawrence Durrell's Alexandria Quartet the Novel her mother was reading in the weeks prior to her birth.

Raised by hall of fame basketball player Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
