Jesse Lee Soffer took the time to pay tribute to former Chicago P.D. cast member Anne Heche this week.

Heche died due to injuries sustained in a car accident. The sad news has led to a lot of reactions from people that she worked with over the years, including cast members from One Chicago.

Fans of Chicago P.D. know Heche from her role as Deputy Superintendent Katherine Brennan, where she acted in many scenes with Soffer (Jay Halstead) and fellow star, Jason Beghe (he plays Hank Voight).

It was during Season 6 that Heche first appeared as Kate Brennan, someone who would always keep Voight on his toes. Brennan also ended up being a good resource for Intelligence through her short run in the position.

As with many characters in leadership...

Happy St. Paddy's Day: Irish Director Kirsten Sheridan On 'Dollhouse,' The Word "Random" And Using Ryan Gosling's Music
Kirsten Sheridan
Continuing its festival run this week at SXSW, following its Berlin premiere, is a remarkable Irish film, "Dollhouse," directed by Kirsten Sheridan. The trippy, pulsing story of a home invasion scenario that is by turns scary, funny and surreal (you can read our review here), the film gained a special mention in Berlin, which is also where we caught up with its director.

Sheridan was previously nominated for an original screenplay Oscar (for co-writing her father Jim Sheridan's "In America"), and gained a lot of positive notice for her debut feature, the Cillian Murphy breakout "Disco Pigs." Following that was a perhaps ill-advised foray into Hollywood for the schmaltzy "August Rush" (about which she speaks candidly below). With "Dollhouse" only her third feature, and a startling departure from both of her previous outings, we sincerely hope the Dublin-based filmmaker won't leave it so long till her next. As our...

[First Look] Diane Kruger and Lea Seydoux In Berlinale Opener ‘Farewell, My Queen’
Following up the initial announcement of titles, the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival revealed it will open with the period drama Les Adieux à la reine (Farewell My Queen) today. From director Benoît Jacquot, the drama stars Inglourious Basterds lead Diane Kruger, as well as Léa Seydoux who broke-out in Midnight in Paris and Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol this year. Based on, Chantal Thomas’ novel we have the first stills of the film (from Lumiere via The Playlist) that follows the “first few days of the French Revolution from the perspective of the servants at Versailles.”

Kruger, who plays Marie Antoinette here, has only appeared in one big film following her post-Basterds role with Unknown, but I look forward to her future work, especially with this film. I thought Seydoux was great as an action villain in Ghotocol and excited to see her career rise. Check out the stills below,...
