Alexis Marant was born and raised in Paris we he still lives.
He started his career in 1993. He has shot, directed and co-directed more than 20 documentary films for French and European broadcasters mainly.
His films have been nominated in many festivals and he has won several awards, including France's most prestigious one, the Albert Londres Prize, in 2006. In 2017 he was a nominee at the International Emmy Awards competition for his film "Terror Studios", an investigation about ISIS propaganda machine, broadcast in more than a hundred countries around the world.
In 2018 he released "The Mediterranean Burnout", a documentary about the environmental threat in the Mediterranean sea.
