    He was killed when the Bell 206B Jet Ranger III helicopter being used to film scenes of a parade for the movie The Final Season (2007) crashed in eastern Iowa. The helicopter was carrying pilot Richard Green, 72, owner of Ritel Copter Services (Hudson, Iowa); producer Tony Wilson; and Roland when it hit power lines and crashed into a cornfield about a mile west of Walford. The pilot and producer were seriously injured.
