The Prick is dead — long live Bad Sisters! Oh yes, whilst we may have finally found out how Claes Bang's despicable John Paul met his grisly (and thoroughly well deserved) end at the climax of Bad Sisters Season 1, the story of the Garvey sisters and their killer secret is far from over. Season 2 of Sharon Horgan's whipsmart, blackly comic adaptation of Belgian crime comedy Clan is just around the corner, and the first trailer for the new series sees siblings Eva (Horgan), Becka (Eve Hewson), Bibi (Sarah Greene), Ursula (Eva Birthistle), and Grace (Anne-Marie Duff) all back and trying to protect one another as the police — and Fiona Shaw's newcomer Angelica — close in. After the deadly acts of season one, Apple TV+’s Bad Sisters returns for its second season as the central siblings face increasing suspicion and fear about what they did.
In the trailer released Tuesday, the women are first seen atop a cliff and opening the trunk of a car as showrunner and star Sharon Horgan’s Eva assures them that everything’s going to be Ok. But then, in a microcosm of the concerns sprinkled throughout the second season preview, the women are startled by something they see inside the trunk.
The trailer jumps ahead to Grace (Anne-Marie Duff) getting remarried to a man named Ian (Owen McDonnell) as Eva again tries to offer reassurance, saying, “After everything that happened, things are finally looking up.”
But as Grace dances with Roger (Michael Smiley), who helped her kill her abusive husband J.P. (Claes Bang), he asks if she ever...

Grace has moved on… and is even getting married to a new bloke named Ian, played by Owen McDonnell. They’re not mourning the loss of John Paul, either: “The world is better off without him,” Ursula insists. “Even the Pope would say that.

The Garvey sisters are making their way back to our screens this fall, and I absolutely can't wait! I'm so excited for Bad Sisters season 2. There's some shows that honestly don't feel like they need a second season. And with the way season 1 ended, it could have worked where the story could have ended there. But, clearly there's more to tell. And when it comes to this show, I don't mind another installment at all.

These will be followed by one new episode released weekly until the finale streaming on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2024. What a true gift! There's a total of 8 episodes this season, two less than season 1. So what is Bad Sisters season 2 about? We shared the official synopsis from Apple TV+ below:

After over two years, the Garvey sisters are returning to Apple TV+. The streamer announced Monday that “Bad Sisters” will debut its second season on Nov. 13.
The first two episodes will premiere on that Wednesday. Afterwards, new episodes will premiere weekly through Dec. 25.
From BAFTA Award-winning executive producer and star Sharon Horgan, the black comedy follows the five Garvey sisters — Eva (Horgan), Grace (Duff), Ursula (Eva Birthistle), Bibi (Sarah Greene) and Becka (Eve Hewson). After Grace’s abusive husband dies under mysterious circumstances, the sisters become the focus of a life insurance investigation. The series flips between two timelines, the first before John Paul’s (Claes Bang) death when the sisters were planning out their crime, and the second after his death as an insurance agent tries to piece together what actually happened.

The global television scene offered up an embarrassment of riches this year, with a seemingly endless supply of phenomenal dramas, comedies and crime procedurals as good as, or often better, than the best on offer Stateside.
The international expansion of Netflix, Amazon, AppleTV+ and others has meant many global talents now have the financial means to make their dream originals, while series from more traditional local broadcasters have access to global platforms, and a worldwide audience, on a scale never seen before.
Ahead of the winter break, The Hollywood Reporter continues its holiday tradition in picking out the best international series to binge-watch over the holiday season. Our favorite 2022 series stocking stuffers include a feminist spy thriller from Germany, a Korean take on a British romantic classic and a deep dive into the French hip-hop scene of the 1980s. "Look - I know you hate me now, but do you think some day we could be okay...?" Break Out Pictures has unveiled an official trailer for an Irish indie coming-of-age comedy titled Metal Heart, which is the feature directorial debut of actor Hugh O'Conor. The film is about two twin sisters who couldn't be more unlike each other. There is much rivalry between Emma and Chantal, quite different in just about every way, but all that changes when their mysterious neighbor moves back in. Jordanne Jones stars as Emma, along with Leah McNamara as her sister Chantal, including Moe Dunford, Seán Doyle, Aaron Heffernan, Yasmine Akram, Ali Hardiman, Lucy Parker Byrne, and Sorcha Fahy. This looks quirky and fun and heartfelt. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Hugh O'Conor's Metal Heart, direct from YouTube (via Sa): There is much rivalry between twin sisters Emma (Jordanne Jones) and...

True Blood: Fox UK, 9pm
After seven years on air, HBO's sexy, campy, vampy drama is taking its final bow tonight. The focus in the last instalment is on the tortured relationship between Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Sookie (Anna Paquin), as the terminally ill vampire asks the telepathic waitress to help him die - and simultaneously rid herself of her powers.
But there's also a shotgun wedding, a few grizzly ends and - as ever - several searing zingers from the show's finest asset: the brutal, delightful Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten).
Under the Dome: Channel 5, 10pm
The second series of the tense drama continues tonight, as ominously red acid rain starts to fall on the trapped residents of Chester's Mill.
With supplies running low, Big Jim (Dean Norris, above) decides to count the town's population to better understand how long they can survive - while mysterious emails start arriving on everyone's smartphones.

When will "Sherlock" Season 4 premiere? How has Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) changed since Season 1? Will Janine ever return? Executive producer Steven Moffat has some answers in an interview with IGN.
Sherlock and dating
Did you enjoy that brief moment when "Sherl" and Janine were dating? If so, you are in luck -- Moffat hints strongly that actress Yasmine Akram will return later in the series.
"He'll see her again. They'll be pals," Moffat explains. "I loved Yasmine's performance as Janine -- she still likes him in the end. At some point, you know, if Sherlock Holmes has to go to a function and he needs a date, he'll phone her up. Now, he'll not expect her to say no. She'll be very cross with him, but she'll show up, and they'll have a good time. They will, because he likes her."
Considering how amusingly self-serving Janine is in Season 3, any...

It's been a week. The third series of Sherlock ended last Sunday with Steven Moffat's 'His Last Vow', and now all that awaits is yet another painfully indefinite hiatus.
We're promised that series four and five are in the works, but neither has yet been officially confirmed by the BBC, and Moffat certainly didn't skimp on the cliffhangers with his finale. Replacing the overwhelming question mark of series two's 'How did he do it?" was a more general sense of "Wtf?" Is Moriarty really back? Are John and Mary really going to have a child? Does anyone on this show ever stay dead?
Below, we've pulled together our speculation on what's to come at 221B Baker Street.
Moriarty
Did you miss him? The strange thing about Andrew Scott's Moriarty is that he was never an integral enough part of Sherlock in its first two series for his absence...
