Biography

Gary Smith is a film producer whose experience covers production finance sales and distribution. He has helped in the financing and production of over forty films around the world with budgets in excess of $300 million, from Number 1 US box office studio films to small independent films. His first production was Rainbow, which is the first film to be shot entirely in the digital format. He founded and built two public companies specializing in film sales finance and production, namely Winchester Entertainment LLC which he built to a valuation of over $100million and Intandem Films plc. He is a major shareholder in Vumanity Content Ltd, a sophisticated mobile video technology company which owns "thefilmindustry.com", an online video network dedicated to the film industry set for launch in the Fall 2017. Mr Smith spent four years out of the film industry building his other business interests but in 2016 founded Blueshore Films with Dayo Beverly. Blueshore is a Los Angeles based film production finance and consulting business dedicated to bringing quality commercial feature films to a worldwide audience. Mr Smith and Ms Beverly have also established Culver City Productions in the UK which is dedicated to raising funds for films to be produced under the "Will and Jada Smith Presents" banner. Mr Smith is resident in Los Angeles but is a regular visitor to London. He is a member of BAFTA LA Academy Circle.
