Biography

    • Alejandro Rath is a director, assistant director, editor, producer and university professor. He is a partner in the production company Zebra Films. He was one of the directors of Who killed Mariano Ferreyra?, a documentary feature film with great impact in Argentina. In 2019, he premiered his first fiction film Alicia at the Trieste Festival and in movie theaters in Argentina. Manifesto, his third feature film, is a documentary essay premiered at the Doclisboa festival. He directed one of the chapters of the documentary series Camioneras (Women truckers), which premiered in 2023 on the Encuentro channel. His latest documentary, Three crosses, not yet released, deals with three cases of abuse in the Argentine Catholic Church. As an assistant director, their most recent work includes The Twilight of the Species by Alberto Romero, Reas by Lola Arias, and Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed by Hernán Rosselli. They worked as a script supervisor on Los caminantes de la calle by Juan Martín Hsu. He worked for more than 20 years as an editor of various sports television programs for Fox Sports and TyC Sports. For some years he has been a professor in the Image and Sound Designer program at the University of Buenos Aires.
