- Elise Falanga was born in Bayshore, New York and raised in Vernon, New Jersey by her mother and stepfather, both psycho-therapists. Since the ripe age of seven, Elise knew she wanted to be an actor. She landed her first role as one of the orphans in a local NJ stage production of "Annie" and as the Wicked Witch of the west in "The Wizard of Oz". Her love for the theatre lead her to want to pursue an acting career professionally. She studied acting in New York City with Terry Schreiber, Matthew Corozine and at the Michael Howard Studios. In NYC she performed in a few black box theaters, and dabbled in modeling and commercial print. Once she earned her SAG AFTRA card, she moved to Los Angeles and worked for several years in television, before landing her first network co-star role on Ken Jeong's sitcom; "Dr. Ken".
She continues to work as an actress professionally in Film and Television. Some of her more recent TV credits include: "Better Call Saul", "Stranger Things", "The Upshaws, "The Really Loud House". and Dark Winds. She will appear as Nicolette, in Ari Aster's upcoming A24 release in the film "Eddington". She has had the opportunity to work opposite Giancarlo Esposito, Winona Ryder, Wanda Sykes, Deanna Allison, Emma Stone, Joaquin Phoenix and Austin Butler.
Elise studied abroad at The Alliance Francaise in Paris, France when she studied at URI, she is fluent in French and practices everyday. She returned to school during the pandemic and earned her Producing certificate with UCLA Extension. She now resides in between Rio Rancho, NM and Los Angeles with her husband, Chris Taylor, SOC, camera operator, and their two dogs.
When Elise was 13 years old, her biological parents were in a custody battle, the court ordered for her to live in Foster care for a month in order to decide with whom she wanted to live with, this moment impacted her life drastically as it was one of the toughest and scariest moments of her childhood. While living in Los Angeles, she volunteered with SoCal Hearts, an art summer camp, for inner city foster kids in downtown Los Angeles.
