Now the British summer has made a belated reappearance, we can expect a few downsides such as hay fever, sunburn and insect bites - but no flying pests in our gardens can rival Dragon Wasps. And a can of the standard repellent probably won't do much good either.

This giant creature feature is written by Mark Atkins. His previous genre outings include numerous hit-inspired 'mockbusters' such as Snakes on a Train, 30,000 Leagues Under The Sea, War of the Worlds 2, Allan Quartermain and the Temple of Skulls, Princess of Mars (an alternative version of John Carter), Battle of Los Angeles and Avh: Alien vs Hunter.

He's also been involved in several dragon-themed productions including Dragonquest, Merlin and the War of the Dragons, and Dragon Crusaders.

Now offering an insect slant on the concept, the cast of Dragon Wasps features Corin Nemec (Stargate Sg-1, Smallville, Supernatural), Dominika Juillet (Dark Angel), Benjamin Easterday...

A. Michael Baldwin, the star of Don Coscarelli’s Phantasm franchise is back in a brand new horror film, Brutal, the first film from writer/director Michael Patrick Stevens which has completed shooting and is now looking for distribution.

Not much is know about Brutal beyond the official press release and behind-the-scenes video below:

Baldwin waited 12 years for the right film to to come along to make his return to the big screen. The whole world sees him as Mike Pearson from “Phantasm”, a very iconic part. Many film makers who grew up as fans have offered him lead roles in their movies but he turned them down. He was never going to return to the film industry and act again, unless he could find another iconic & memorable role, that would separate him from “Phantasm”. That role finally came when he read the script for “Brutal”.

By now, you've probably heard of Susan Boyle. The 47-year-old British woman went on Britain's Got Talent, talked about her cat and never being kissed, and you could see all the eyes setting her up to be the next William Hung. Then she sang "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Miserables, the jaws dropped, she got a standing ovation, and became an Internet sensation.

All sensations get, at the very least, some movie rumors, and Boyle is no exception. According to the Telegraph, word on the street says that Simon Cowell is currently fighting off Hollywood offers, and that Boyle herself has been offered a movie role by Darla Rae. The site even goes so far as to say that Demi Moore might be interested in playing her in a film, since she Twittered about the performance making her cry.
