SAG-AFTRA video game actors will mark the start of the fourth week since declaring a strike with a picket line against Disney on Thursday, Aug. 15.

Participants will demonstrate outside Disney Character Voices, located at 2600 W. Olive Avenue in Burbank (91505), from 9:00 a.m. to noon. There are parking structures located nearby on Frederick, as well as 2-hour street parking available in various nearby locations.

The picket line will be attended by Interactive Media Agreement Negotiating Committee chair Sarah Elmaleh and committee members Andi Norris, Seth Allyn Austin as well as SAG-AFTRA leadership including National Executive Director Duncan Crabtree-Ireland. Other SAG-AFTRA members, labor allies and video game fans are expected as well.

Voice actors will be hitting the picket lines Thursday, as SAG-AFTRA announced the first in-person action against one of 10 major video game companies impacted by the Interactive Media Agreement strike.

The picket will take place at WB Games Inc. in Los Angeles from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Pt, with members asked to gather at Gate 5 of the studio lot.

Leadership will be in attendance, including SAG-AFTRA Interactive Media Agreement Negotiating (Ima) Committee members Sarah Elmaleh (Chair), Zeke Alton, Ashly Burch, and Andi Norris as well as National Executive Director Duncan Crabtree-Ireland.

The picket announcement comes after the rest of the Hollywood unions through their support behind SAG-AFTRA’s latest strike in a joint statement on Tuesday.

SAG-AFTRA National Executive Director and Chief Negotiator, Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, is attending New York Comic Con on Oct. 14 for the panel “AI in Entertainment: The Performer’s Perspective.”

The event comes in the wake of Crabtree-Ireland’s appearance at San Diego Comic-Con, soon after the actors strike began in mid-July, where he led a panel for voiceover actors, discussing their rights, as well as a pitstop at the Toronto International Film Festival where he had both a sitdown, and a teamed picket with Canada’s commercial actors who’ve been suffering a long contract lockout.

With Image Entertainment set to release the horror feature The Invoking to DVD/VOD this coming February 18th, we thought it high time to touch base with the flick’s sales agent Jesse Baget, and the result was a batch of behind-the-scenes production stills, as well as word on the film.

A couple of weeks ago we showed you some less than flattering artwork for The Invoking that was never meant to get out there. To say it was a bit too similar to The Conjuring is an understatement, but thankfully that wrong has been righted.

In the new short film The Resolution, we see a guy make a Really wrong move.

The Resolution is actually part of a larger anthology film entitled Rick Tobin's Twisted Tales of Madness and Murder, but Uncle Creepy told me if I didn't make my headlines shorter, he was going to waterboard me mercilessly. So, needless to say, there was no way I was mentioning that title in the header.

The Resolution stars Erwin Galan, Tabitha Bastien, Nathan McWalters and Andi Norris. It was written by the aforementioned Rick Tobin and directed by Rick Walters.
