Andrew Shearer(II)

Andrew Shearer is a screenwriter and filmmaker based out of North Carolina. He began his career in LA where his short film that he wrote and directed, Son Up, based off of his experience teaching at juvenile halls, circulated over two-dozen film festivals domestically and internationally, and collected seven awards along the way. It was also a finalist at the Student Academy Awards. Since then, Andrew has had two of his own feature screenplays produced. One of those, Holy Irresistible, was the recipient of the Academy's Nicholl Fellowship Award and is available on multiple streaming platforms.

In addition to writing, Andrew also works as an editor and post-production supervisor. His editorial work includes award-winning documentaries, such as NFL Network's Undrafted, in which he shared a Sports Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Documentary Series, as well as multiple features, including theatrical release, Outlaw Posse, written and directed by Mario Van Peebles.
