Graduated from the Music Conservatory of Amsterdam, Belgrade-born singer-songwriter Lena Kovacevic is one of the most famous musicians of ex-Yugoslavia. Her single "Cafe" is one of the biggest hit songs in the Balkan region and is released in different languages all over the world. Lena has released three albums, "Dobar dan za pevanje" (A good day for singing) and "San" (Dreams), which have acclaimed Lena as one of the leading singers of the new generation. Lena's third album features covers of the most popular songs of ex-Yugoslavian and Serbian pop musician Bajaga. The album was arranged and produced by Vladimir Nikolov (orchestration for the Oscar winning movie The Artist) and mixed and mastered in NY. Lena has performed at pop and jazz festivals in Holland, Belgium, Austria, Cyprus, USA, Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro and the region that have featured musicians such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Randy Crawford, the Nigel Kennedy Quintet, Candy Dulfer...She was one of the judges on the most popular TV show The First Voice of Serbia. Her single Pick Up has been released by regional record label Menart, Sony Music licencee. The producer of Pick Up is Godfrey Diamond, a US music production star, who over the course of his successful career has worked with music legends such as Gloria Gaynor, Luther Vandross, Lou Reed, Aerosmith and many others. The single also features guitarist Carlos Alomar, who has collaborated with big names like David Bowie and Alicia Keys. The video premiere was aired on MTV. Pick Up has been played on Sirius Radio, in New York, featuring Godfrey Diamond. In February 2017, Lena was a special guest at the BRIT Awards 2017 in London as a Premium Ambasador of MasterCard. In January 27 2020, Lena received Music Award for Best Pop Song of a Female Artist at regional Music Awards - MAC. Lena also appeared as singer in the movies "Profesionalac" (2003), dubbed and singed in animated movie "Manou the Swift" (2019) as Kalifa for Serbian territory and was member of the jury in Music Talent Show "Prvi Glas Srbije" (2011).
