  • Due to an injury the day before, she had to go on as Elphaba for Idina Menzel on Idina's last show on January 9, 2005.
  • While she was still an ensemble member in "Hairspray," Shirley MacLaine personally sought her backstage after a performance to tell her, "You are a shining light on the stage. You are going to be a star."
  • While attending UCLA, she was good friends and roommates with Kristy Cates. . Cates understudied Idina Menzel in "Wicked" while Shoshana served as a standby. Later on, Cates understudied Bean for two months.
  • Shoshana means "Rose" in Hebrew.
  • Left the Broadway production of "Wicked" on January 8th. Actress Eden Espinosa has taken over the role of "Elphaba." (January 2006)
  • Nominated for a 2022 Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her role as "Susie" the daughter of Billy Crystal's character "Buddy Young Jr." in the play "Mr.Saturday Night".

  • Her boyfriend, Tyler, was killed in a car accident on May 1, 2006.
