Moira McMahon is a screenwriter with a diverse career spanning television, feature films, and animation. She has written for hit series such as Teen Wolf (MTV), Private Practice (ABC), DC Super Hero Girls (WB), and Gabby's Dollhouse (DreamWorks). Her original feature film, A Light Beneath Their Feet, starring Taryn Manning and Madison Davenport, won multiple festival awards and was praised by RogerEbert.com as a "triumph of empathetic filmmaking."
Beginning her career as a medical researcher for Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, Moira later became a staff writer on Teen Wolf and went on to sell and develop pilots for NBC, Southpaw Entertainment, and Steel Springs Pictures. She is also an in-demand story consultant, working with screenwriters, directors, and producers to refine scripts and oversee story development.
Moira holds an MFA in Writing for Screen and Television from USC's School of Cinematic Arts, where she later served as Director of the Screenwriting Division. She has taught at DePaul University and continues to coach writers privately through her consulting service, StoryPath with Moira.
