Le Fear II: Le Sequel Completes Production: A Preview
Tagline: "I only wanted to make a bloody horror film!" Le Fear II: Le Sequel is a comedy, horror sequel from director Jason Croot. The film involves a hectic shooting schedule on a film and the problems therein. One part comedy and one part horror, the film has just been completed and a trailer is coming soon. As well, the film stars Andrew Tiernan (300: Rise of an Empire), Dirk Heinz and Aiko Horiuchi. The film's first poster is hosted here. The film is a mishmash of characters and genres. The film hosts aliens, vampires and witch doctors. Many of those characters can be seen in the film's first poster, found above. Blood reds are also promised in this concept poster. More of the film's hilarity will be revealed shortly. Release Date: Tba. Director/writer: Jason Croot. Cast: Andrew Tiernan, Dirk Heinz, Aiko Horiuchi and Shona McWilliams. *a trailer is coming soon.

Jake, the sole survivor of The Grudge 2, is confined to a psychiatric hospital under the watch of Dr Sullivan, played by Saw’s Shawnee Smith. After Jake is brutally murdered in his hospital room by a ghostly assailant, Dr. Sullivan comes to realise his stories of a demonic long black haired killer are true. Over in Tokyo, the evil Kayako’s sister, Naoko, hears of Jake’s death through a newspaper report. Knowing how to stop the curse, she travels to America and takes up residence in the haunted Chicago apartment block from the previous film. The Grudge 3 (DVD Review)
As if any more proof were needed, The Grudge 3—the third in the American series based on Takashi Shimizu’s Japanese screen quartet, the first to go direct to DVD and the first of any of these not helmed by Shimizu—demonstrates that this concept has been well and truly exhausted. Particularly given that this sequel was created not by untried up-and-comers or music-video graduates, but a couple of guys who have shown themselves to have true horror chops.

The Grudge 3 was directed by Toby Wilkins and scripted by Brad Keene, who held those posts respectively on Splinter and From Within, two of the smarter and more satisfying independent fright films to emerge in the last year. Two new looks at The Grudge 3’s Kayako
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment passed along two new photos of the vengeful spirit Kayako from The Grudge 3, the sequel that makes its DVD premiere March 24. Check ’em out below the cut.
