Matthew was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Raised a military brat until he was
about 8 years old, his family settled in San Antonio, Texas. At the age of
9, he began studying martial arts. A line of training that continues to
this day. After High School Matthew lived in Houston, Plano but once
again found himself settling in San Antonio. Always a fan of
movies(especially martial arts films) he never even considered becoming
an actor or filmmaker. A writer by trade but a dream to break into
comics never saw fruition. Then a life changing ad in Wizard Magazine
changed his life. A contest to make a short film based on comic book
characters. Borrowing equipment from his retail job and enlisting his
martial arts students along with a friend with an RTF degree they made
a mock movie trailer for the contest. From there a passion for
filmmaking was born. Matthew has been in various film mainly in the
action genre where he often times is the fight coordinator.
