BET Media Group announced today that the hit BET+ Original Series Churchy will return for its highly anticipated second season on August 21, with all 10 episodes available to stream at once. The breakout comedy made waves in its debut, becoming the most-watched scripted comedy on the platform during its premiere week.
In addition, BET has greenlit The Hospital, another original series from the creative mind of comedian Kevin “KevOnStage” Fredericks.
In Churchy, Fredericks will reprise his role as Pastor Corey Carr Jr., who inherits leadership of Bethlehem Temple, along with a surprise book of debts. He and his wildly unqualified church crew must navigate the daily headaches of ministry life, all while fending off a vengeful rival’s plan to replace the church with a trampoline park.
Returning Churchy series regulars include Mark Jp Hood, Lexi Allen, Anthony Elfonzia, Quin Walters, Tahir Moore, alongside new additions Jasmine Luv and Nic Few.

One of Them Days is the kind of comedy Hollywood used to make regularly. The film keeps the premise simple and trusts the characters to react in funny ways. Even though it is more of a rarity in today’s IP landscape, One of Them Days proves that comedy especially need not be overthought.
Dreux (Keke Palmer) works night shifts at Norm’s diner and is trying for a promotion to franchise manager. Her roommate, Alyssa (Sza), is an artist with no income. When Alyssa’s boyfriend, Keshawn (Joshua David Neal) steals their rent money for his own hare-brained scheme, their landlord, Uche (Rizi Timane), threatens to evict them if they don’t have $1,500 by 6 p.m.
That premise is no high-concept sensation. Rather, it is the simple premise that fueled many of the great comedies. They need X amount of money by X time. Happy Gilmore played golf to raise enough money.

“For All Mankind” will return for its third season on June 10, Apple TV Plus announced Monday.
Created by Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi, the critically-acclaimed science fiction drama imagines an alternate history where Russia beat the United States in putting a man on the moon first. As a result of this historical divergence, the space race between the two countries never ends, leading to a world where both nations have advanced moon colonies staffed 24/7 and the Cold War has led to much quicker technological advances. The series focuses on the exploits of the astronauts and staff of NASA in this alternate universe, delving into both their professional and personal lives.
The first two seasons of “For All Mankind” covered a span of almost two decades, starting in 1969 and ending in the late ’80s. Season 3 again jumps ahead into the early ’90s, as the space race expands to the exploration of Mars.
