Star Trek has finally revealed Uhura’s post-Undiscovery Country fate with a new Starfleet rank. What happened to Uhura after the Enterprise sailed into the sunset in the sixth Star Trek film is one of the franchise’s biggest mysteries. Nearly all of her colleagues are accounted for, but Uhura’s exact fate has never been revealed–until Star Trek #26. Fans learn that Uhura’s career did not end at the Enterprise.

Star Trek #26, the second part of the “When the Walls Fell” story, is written by Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly and drawn by Angel Hernandez. After escaping from Fluidic Space, Captain Sisko and the Theseus find themselves in the Kelvin Universe, from JJ Abrams’ 2009 reboot film. Thanks to the evil android Lore, Star Trek’s Kelvin Universe has been destroyed. Throughout Idw’s line of Star Trek comics, Lore has been slowly gaining power, and now he is ready to unleash his endgame: the total annihilation of the multiverse. Using the Bajoran Orb of Destruction, Lore has succeeded in his goal, and as seen in Star Trek #26, the Kelvin Universe paid the price.

Star Trek writers Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly also spearheaded Star Trek: Year Five for Idw.

The recently concluded Sons of Star Trek was something truly special, and fans deserve more books like it. Texas Teenager Dies After Completing 5K Cross-Country Race With His Best Time Ever

After completing a cross-country race, a Texas teenager, Angel Hernandez, died just after crossing the finish line.

Hernandez, a sophomore at Chisholm Trail High School in Fort Worth, had just run his best 5K time at a cross country meet when he collapsed suddenly.

A group of friends then helped Hernandez to a nearby water station, but he then collapsed again.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died an hour later.

It is unknown why Hernandez collapsed at the meet. His cause of death is currently under investigation.

His family has established a GoFundMe page to help with the funeral costs.

In his honor, Hernandez was named athlete of the week at his high school.

“He worked hard and was an amazing teammate. We lost Angel at the District Xc Meet, and words cannot express our feelings for him and his family. Thank you, Angel, for all your hard work and determination.

The question over who is more powerful among the two has raged in Star Trek fandom for nearly 30 years, but in Idw Publishing’s Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: The Dog of War #2, the matter is seemingly settled once and for all.

The issue is written by Mike Chen, drawn by Angel Hernandez, colored by Nick Filardi and lettered by Neil Uyetake. In the previous issue, Captain Benjamin Sisko found a piece of contraband Borg technology aboard Deep Space Nine, and upon further analysis, learned the device was used by the Borg to coordinate drones. Seeing applications for the raging Dominion War, Sisko decides to try it on, since he believes that his history with the Borg makes him the ideal test subject.

Television series Revolution, which ended a two-year run on NBC in May 2014, are going to get a resolution to the show's storylines that were left open-ended in the final broadcast episode. In response to passionate fan efforts to revive the show, the entire creative team behind the series - including executive producers Eric Kripke, J.J. Abrams, Bryan Burk, Rockne S. O'Bannon and Jon Favreau - regrouped to create a special four-chapter digital comic book with DC Comics that will serve to continue and ultimately resolve the adventures last seen in Revolution's second season finale.

Revolution writers David Reed and Ryan Parrott handled the writing duties of the digital comic's four chapters, after breaking the story in the writers' room along with the rest of the Revolution creative team, which included Kripke, O'Bannon, Paul Grellong, David Rambo, Trey Callaway, Anne Cofell Saunders, Ben Edlund, Matt Pitts and Jim Barness.

Star Trek and Green Lantern to crossover in The Spectrum Wars

Idw Publishing has announced a Star Trek/Green Lantern crossover at WonderCon 2015.

The publisher is teaming up with DC Comics for the Spectrum Wars miniseries.

Veteran Star Trek comics writer Mike Johnson will be teaming with artist Angel Hernandez (Infinite Crisis: Fight for the Multiverse, Arrow).

The Green Lantern Corps will team up with Starfleet after their power rings fall into the wrong hands.

"We've looked forward to bringing these two iconic universes together for a long time," said Greg Goldstein in a statement.

"Star Trek and Green Lantern both share so many of the same science fiction adventure themes and ideals that a galaxy-spanning crossover like this is simply... logical."

Star Trek/Green Lantern: The Spectrum War #1 will launch in July.

Comics: DC Comics And Idw Teaming Up For Green Lantern/Star Trek Crossover
Mashable has revealed that the worlds of Green Lantern and Star Trek will collide this summer in a crossover even from Idw Publishing, CBS Consumer Products, and DC Entertainment. Mike Johnson is writing Star Trek/Green Lantern: The Spectrum War, while Angel Hernandez will provide art. "We’ve looked forward to bringing these two iconic universes together for a long time," Idw President and COO Greg Goldstein said. "Star Trek and Green Lantern both share so many of the same science-fiction adventure themes and ideals, that a galaxy-spanning crossover like this is simply...logical." The site adds that the crew of the Enterprise will meet Hal Jordan in the 23rd Century and promise that some of them will end up wearing Green Lantern Corps Power Rings. If those rumours about Chris Pine playing Hal are true, we'll get another type of crossover soon...
