Massimiliano "Massi" Furlan was born in Treviso, Italy, near Venice, and began his entertainment career as a stand-up comedian before moving to Miami Beach in 1998. After running a successful restaurant business with his brother, Massi relocated to Hollywood in 2007, where his talent quickly earned him roles in major TV and film productions, including Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Criminal Minds, and the HBO pilot 1%. His breakout role came in Christopher Nolan's blockbuster The Dark Knight Rises (2012).
Massi's career has since flourished with standout performances in hit shows like NCIS: Los Angeles, True Blood, and The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.
