Nathan Shelton was born in Springfield, MO. Nathan and his twin brother, Jeremy, grew up in Springfield, MO, where Nathan showed interest in theatre at an early age. He began performing at several venues around his hometown, before starting to work professionally as a stage & screen actor in the early1990s. He went on to study acting, writing, & directing at Missouri State University (then SMSU) in the same prestigious theatre program that launched John Goodman, Kathleen Turner, Tess Harper, Jack Laufer, & many others.
Aside from working as a professional theatre/film/TV/voice actor (SAG-AFTRA / AEA), Nathan is an award-winning SFX makeup artist, writer, & director/producer. Nathan moved from Missouri to Chicago, IL in 2013, and continues to work throughout the country on various creative projects with his production company, Arcane (including the internationally acclaimed web series, Shadow Bound, and the horror anthology audio-drama series, Frightmare Theatre). Nathan & his wife, Alma Rodriguez, were married in March 2021 and split their time between Chicago and Mexico City. Nathan has two children, Layna & Finnley.
