Tom Elgin New 2025 Theatrical Reel, imdb version

Tom Elgin was born and raised in upstate NY (Binghamton) and hails from a region which has produced many successful talent. Those include Rod Serling (Twilight Zone), Richard Deacon (Dick Van Dyke Show) and, just across the NYS border, Charles Bronson. Tom Elgin's path, into full time, on camera acting, modeling, and voice over, was most certainly not a straight one. Indeed, it was not even a consciously planned one. However, on a spiritual level, it was most certainly meant to be. That is, a path that was destined to happen. Starting back in 2005, during a successful run in the corporate world, Tom Elgin was taking care of an aging parent, his mother, who was dealing with significant health issues including but not limited to potential end of life events. It was then, that Tom chose to transition into acting for schedule flexibility, in part, to address his mother's needs. He started out working part time in on camera acting mainly for fun and for flexibility in scheduling. As Tom gained more success, he went full time in 2007. As fate would have it, he discovered during one of his mother's stays in a post hospital rehab facility, that acting in plays was the only way she was able to finish high school to be able to graduate. Tom never knew this. His mother's dream was that SHE work in acting. Becoming a young widow, and raising 3 sons, on her own, quelled that dream. Though it did not stop her from cheering on her first born son as he pursued HIS dreams. Sadly, Tom's mother passed away in 2022, though not before she saw Tom act in many of the Feature Films, Festival Indie Short Films and Industrial Video projects you see either on this theatrical reel, or on a separate resume. These total over 70 projects and many awards or invites on the festival circuit. Feature films this includes may be found on streaming platforms such as Amazon Prime, Tubi, and many others. Add to this a full commercial and voice over reel with at least 40 other projects, including a current national commercial for a Fortune 1000 with an LA Director who also sits on the Executive Committee for the Emmys. Also a recent LA Voice Over Project was delivered with 10 final cuts, several days ahead of schedule. This all makes Tom Elgin a well rounded and quickly adaptable talent. He is professional, reliable and a quick study. Some have even called him, "One Take Tom." Thanks for reading.
