Keshhav Panneriy’s ‘Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai’ shoots at White House
In a first for Bollywood, Keshhav Panneriy’s upcoming family entertainer ‘Jeena Isi ka Naam Hai’ becomes the first film to shoot at White House (Washington DC). The high point of the shoot was filming inside the Constitutional Hall of the White House.

The Constitutional Hall is sandwiched between the George Washington Memorial and the Vice President Joe Biden’s residence, the sprawling white-marbled ballroom was lit up for the first time for a Hindi film sequence. Talking about the same director Keshhav said, “It took us almost a year to get permission. I applied more than 15 times before we were allowed, only because some of my line producers are Americans.”

The film has been shot West Virginia, New York City, Washington and Maryland in Us and in Rajasthan, Udaipur, and Mumbai in India. Produced by Purnima Mead of Bibia Films, the film is directed by Keshhav Panneriy which also marks his directorial debut.

Indo-canadian director makes his Bollywood debut with ‘Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai’
?

Upcoming film “Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai”, starring Arbaaz Khan, Ashutosh Rana, Prem Chopra, Supriya Pathak, Manjari Fadnis and Himansh Kohli marks the foray of Indo-Canadian director Keshhav Panneriy in Indian cinema. Keshhav has a vast repertoire of work to his credit. He started his career as an actor at the early age of five on stage and later went onto perform as an outsider at the National School of Drama in 1996. He has worked closely with a diverse range of local and international theatre companies and renowned names such as Sir Jhon Russel Brown, Steve Jharend, Renee Porte, Arya Rice, Rozalia Hummer and Dr. Devendra Raj Ankur.

Keshhav said, “I met producer Purnima Mead two years ago when I was in the Us. We discussed the idea and it took us a year to script the film. It’s an intriguing story and we have shot it on a large canvas.

Internet secures future of documentaries: Indo-Canadian filmmaker (Interview)

New Delhi, Nov 26: The internet is a boon for short films and documentaries as it serves as a platform to grab more eyeballs, says Indo-Canadian filmmaker Keshhav Panneriy. He feels that the medium has exposed docu-dramas to a bigger commercial market and that the revenue generated through the domain also helps recover costs.

The filmmaker, a first generation Indian in Canada, is known for his documentaries like "Eternal Love 2013" and "Chemical Farming: Boon or Disaster?"

Documentaries in India were on the brink of extinction, but "today they have a much bigger commercial market and buyers than earlier", Panneriy.

New Delhi, Oct 1: Indo-Canadian filmmaker Keshhav Panneriy will soon head to India to make a film, the story of which is penned by Us-based author Purnima Mead. The project is likely to feature a leading Bollywood actress.

The film's story is based on the struggle of a woman, who dares to dream, and the hardships that she faces in trying to achieve her dream. It also speaks about the way in which women are perceived in Indian urban society with its bias towards men, said a statement.

Panneriy believes that the Indian filmmaking market has evolved enough to accept such scripts.
